That'd be awesome, I just don't know if they'd be able to pull it off with the 2D sprites.

I'm not sure about these games. Yeah I'm a big fan of Pokémon but there is only one thing that I must know:
Will it be on DS or 3DS???
I think the game will be great but I'm still not sure. I like the old school version but Black and White seems a lot different. Maybe they will be better.
All we can do now is to wait and see...

ya from the screens it seems like the screens are 4:3 ratio which is the ds screen, they already stated twice the games are for ds, and it even has a big nintendo ds at the bottom of the games website so im 99% sure its for ds.

Well, not me...
Remember in the past:
Blue red and yellow were on gambe boy
Gold Silver and Crystal were on game boy color wich was an update of the game boy (like the DS and the 3DS)
Ruby Sapphire and Emerald were on Game boy Advance
and Diamond pearl and platinum were on the DS
As you can see, there was not 2 generations on the same console...
Well, not me...

I would say 3DS, remember that every generation comes with a new handheld console near the date to help advertise since the name of Pokemon is so big. So I say, 3DS.

ah yes but gold and silver were still playable on the original gameboy just not in color

the gameboy and gameboy color in difference were literally what the nintendo ds and the dsi are and nintendo still counts gameboy and gameboy color as 1 handheld with revisions just like they see dsi as a nintendo ds.
crystal was the only exclusive for gbc. which added sprite animations like jumping.

While that would make sense, think about it. If they put one game on the DS(which millions of people have, including millions of little kids), and then the new version goes on 3DS, all of those little kids are gonna have a tough time getting the game as not all of them can spend that kinda money to get it. It doesn't seem very cost efficient at all.

Yeah that could be it! They will make Black and White playable on the DS and the third game on the 3DS. I've never thought of an Hoenn remake. I think that what they should do is to take all 5 regions and make a giganctic remake of all of them on a home console like the wii. That would be awseome!!!

Releasing the trio of games on two different consoles would make no sense though. The release date of the 3DS is predicted from April 2010 to March 2011 so it could fit in.
