Which raises an interesting point. 10 years ago when we were younger and stuff, who among us raised a fuss over the likes of 'seel' and 'krabby'? Or did we just happily lap it up because 10 years ago, we were all kids who were easier to please?
I remember Shinx was one of the Gen IV names I somehow didn't agree with. Even joked with a friend that it sounded like a portmanteau of "shit" and "minx". Looking back though, I find I'm more likely to dislike a pokemon for its design rather than its name (even 10 years ago). Especially since the game has a nickname system so your Oshawott can be "Wotter" or "Lady Gaga" for all we care.
