(1) Japan’s March Set: BW9 ‘Megalo-Cannon’ Featuring Genesect! [12/10]

Wow a lot of news. Have not had time at all on the forums for the last week or so. Barely have time to do the DW too as siblings are on here too long lately XD. Anyway. Hope the new set and Pokemon episodes will be cool. Can't wait to see the nw cards in the set and I hope we see Genesect in the new movie XD.:)

Hmm!! Thunder Knuckle and Spiral Drain haven't even been officially released yet, so I don't know if Machamp is in there or not.

Hmm, Megalo-Cannon does sound like a Machampy place, though! 'Cause its mega, and great, *flex*!

Hmm.

Genesect will be a Plasma Pokémon (my kinda-obvious guess)... But if Genesect will come out in March, I can only wonder what will be released in June/July... which reminds me, when will an Arceus-EX appear?...

you mean Spiral Force not Spiral Drain :p

Machamp would be cool. I just hope by the time Gen 6 comes around, any Pokemon who has yet to show up in the BW sets will except for baby Pokemon since Elekid wasn't with Electabuzz and Electivire, etc. Except maybe Tyrogue because Hitmontop. Oh, and Kadabra of course. Which makes me wonder how'll they get around that assuming we do see a new Alakazam anytime soon.

They would have to do a couple of large sets focusing solely on the older Pokemon -- like how EX Unseen Forces focused almost entirely on Johto-based Pokemon -- to get all 648 (since Kadabra still won't be showing up) into the TCG before Generation 6. Because right now, the main focus is still on the Unova Pokemon, understandably, to the point that nearly all of them have received 3-5 cards already, and they take up more slots in the newer sets than the older Pokemon.

Really the main thing they need to do to have every Pokemon in the same rotation is plan things out better. When Next Destinies came out and HGSS was still legal, most of the old Pokemon were ones that were already legal via HGSS-CoL. Then they picked a bunch of Pokemon like Pikachu and Riolu/Lucario for National Beginning Set when they were already in Next Destinies. *sigh*

I demand that BW9 (or BW8, even) contain Cloyster and Abomasnow and any other Pokemon that's been missing since the Diamond and Pearl-based sets, much less the Platinum, HGSS and BW ones. >:O Even Baby Pokemon, since they're all absent now. Just throw every single family with a Baby Pokemon into the same set and get them out of the way or something.

I don't like how they keep repeating Unova Pokemon when other Pokemon have yet to even show up. Let's just hope they actually TRY to squeeze in the remaning Pokemon before Gen 6. Also, you just reminded me that I have yet to update my list of Pokemon who haven't appeared in this TCG era yet.

Although, I think the same pattern for BW era sets will be used for Gen 6 era sets(and of course, they're probably keep the holo pattern the same).

It's understandable why they keep repeating Unova Pokemon. They're the new ones who haven't appeared in the TCG until this Generation, and the ones from the games that are being promoted by the TCG right now. As neglected as Cloyster has been for the last five or so years, he still has more cards than the average Unova Pokemon does.

I liked the way they did things with at the start of the DP era. They opened up with three or four really big sets that, between them, covered almost all of the existing Pokemon up to that point.

Other than Kadabra (Skyridge), we haven't seen these Pokemon since the DP block:
-Last seen in DP Base: Azurill, Bonsly, Mantyke, Wynaut
-Mysterious Treasures: Abra, Barboach
-Secret Wonders: Shellder, Cloyster
-Great Encounters: Ekans, Arbok, Krabby, Kingler, Zigzagoon, Linoone, Clamperl, Gorebyss, Huntail
-Majestic Dawn: Glameow, Phione
-Legends Awakened: Swellow, Lileep, Cradily, Anorith, Armaldo, Castform, Regirock, Regice, Azelf, Uxie, Mesprit
-Stormfront: Budew, Finneon, Lumineon, Snover, Abomasnow

Don't you mean Regice? Registeel was in BW5.

I can see Ekans and Arbok in BW8 ngl(with Arbok being a Plasma Pokemon).

I think we will soon get
Suicune EX to finish its trio
Regirock/ice EX to finish a trio
Palkia/Diagla EX
Maybe the Pixies EX
Jirachi EX (only 100 across the board left not printed at all)
Maybe Lati@s EX
Arceus EX
Genesect EX
Maybe Manaphy EX
Virizion EX(please be good)

Im guessing 10 sets in BW total in the end

Genesect EX
Meloetta EX (Fighting Form)
Suicune EX
Dialga EX
Palkia EX
Arceus EX

Sems like a good list, right? :D

Palkia EX (dragon)
Dialga EX (dragon)
Suicune EX
Virizion EX

melouetta ex fighting type in its other forme thats (PLAYABLE)

TPCi doesn't make cards that are playable! Crazy!

that's true for about 95% of the cards we get, the other 5% are so utterly broken that the unplayable cards become even more unplayable :p

yeah i wasn't thinking, if they make meloetta ex it'll be psychic and have 110 hp so it can be murdered by mewtwo, but who knows the TPCI thinks different than us, sometimes the bring our hopes up.... but they like getting us dissapointed, all you need to do is look at boundaries crossed.....

and my ex prediction:
Genesect EX
Virizion EX
Jirachi EX
Suicune EX
theme decks:
Dialga EX
Palkia EX
