(1) Mewtwo's Fourth Move [9/24]

Which came first, the banner or the news of this distribution? Anyway, Electro Ball. Nifty.

Huh. Surprisingly effective for someone like Mewtwo, though not quite the most beneficial of moves it could learn... Still, probably something I'd keep around. And seeing how slow a number of 5th Gen Pokémon are, quite helpful indeed (though Psystrike is still a beast move in itself). Better than having a clogged moveset of similar-typed moves, no matter how powerful they are.

Interesting...would this be more powerful than Thunderbolt, given Mewtwo's speed?

Ignore that. Electro ball is the difference between speeds.

Lol... I think people were expecting something cooler... Electro Ball, despite Mewtwo's high speed, just sucks... Mewtwo is an uber, and even the slowest ubers have usually 90 base speed (most of them are the cover legendaries of recent gens)... which makes Electro Ball hit only for its lowest amount of damage possible (60) most of the time...

Does this move nave any added effects like Paralysis? I am asking because I don't have B/W yet. Also how accurate is this move and how much PP does it have along with how much base power does it carry?:) Thanks.:)

Try this site.

electro ball, huh? not bad, not bad. though, i'm curious as to why there is a special mewtwo distribution in the first place. personally, i'm seriously hoping for another mewtwo movie :3

Well, I never expected Electro Ball. I'm just happy it wasn't Nasty Plot.

I don't actually think that Electro Ball really helps Mewtwo, since it gets the much more consistent Thunderbolt. But it'll be good for trading.

Honestly, it didn't matter if it got Nasty Plot or not. It already has zero counters in Ubers, ohkos or 2hkos everything, and it already has Calm Mind (which I'm pretty sure nobody uses).

As do I. And TDL, most ubers have no solid counters due to their massive movepools and attacking stats. Mewtwo is one of the faster ubers though, which is why it is so good, because a lot of ubers is revenge kills.

Electro Ball.

Okay then.

Add it to the pile of stupid Nintendo Events (which is pretty much 95% of them).

Well...um...that's kinda disappointing. In a metagame filled with Kyogres and such, why not just use Thunder? It's cool, but disappointing.

Tbolt/Thunder > Electroball

Shame he couldn't have gotten something more competitive, not that he needs it.

So Electro Ball is similar to Weather Ball except it does not use the weather to inflict more damage. Instead it goes by the users speed. Example: If Mewtwo has max speed then it will do the maximum damage unless the opponents speed is faster right?:) Thanks.:)

Electro Ball's only similarity to Weather Ball is that the both have Ball in their name...and no, Electro Ball would only reach maximum power if the opponent's speed is under 25% of Mewtwo's (basically impossible in ubers). In fact, it's a pathetic 60 base power if the opponent has over half of Mewtwo's speed, which pretty much everything is. So, Electro Ball is a terrible move with no use at all competitively on a Pokemon with Thunderbolt and Thunder.

No.
Electro Ball's base power said:
150 base power, if target's speed is lower or equal to ¼ (25%) of user's speed.
120 base power, if target's speed is greater than ¼ (25%) of user's speed and lower or equal to ⅓ (33%) of user's speed.
80 base power, if target's speed is greater than ⅓ (33%) of user's speed and lower or equal to ½ (50%) of user's speed.
60 base power, if target's speed is greater than ½ (50%) of user's speed.
It's terrible.

So this move would be better for casual or in game use then? Or am I still wrong? The %'s don't add up correctly in my mind. I am actually confused XD.:)
