(1) Next Japanese Set: 'Clash at the Summit'; New 'Pikachu World' Promo Set [4/12]

I think the mystery will be Zoroark & Zoua LEGEND.

They'll probably hold off on any Zorua and Zoroark cards until Black and White's block starts. With the exception of promos for the movie, of course.

Powerful cards that will turn the game around eh? Just like lost link with their ridiculous instant win card and lost zone prowess? Good thing my decks are mostly powered by printed out proxy cards or I will cry with spending all that money for decks that may be made obsolete by the upcoming sets.

I am surprised with the two new LEGEND cards I was expecting legendaries with 680 base stat and above to have a solo LEGEND feature just like Ho oh and Lugia but I guess combining them makes them more useful, maybe.

Palkia and Dialga LEGEND - Interesting, maybe it would have a move called space and time continuum.

Deoxys and Rayquza LEGEND - As with any recent Rayquaza's I am expecting a move which does 150 or 200 (maybe more) damage, requires a lot of energy and discards them. Not sure with what to expect from a Deoxys card, maybe some form changing.

Celebi prime? Maybe Celebi is not too popular a legendary to deserve its own LEGEND card. I doubt Arceus would be featured beside any other legendary and I am quite sure it would get its solo LEGEND cards in a future set.

Is there any chance that more than 4 Primes are in the set ?
If it is the last Legend set before 5. generation TCG cycle starts I hope so ^^

It would be pretty dumb to have a new theme; (legends) for only 3 1/2 sets.
The Lv X cards lasted for how many sets? Like.... more then 8 sets worth.

But supposing they do change the special cards, that would raise a big question; Whats next?

Yeah that got me thinking too, but my guess is that the LEGEND/Prime concepts would continue on for at least one more set, two would ensure that most if not all legends are covered. Clash at the summit being released at July 8 could give them time to come up with another set or another set plus another mini set for late 2010.

Or I could be wrong and they decide to scrap the LEGEND/Prime idea completely and start with a fresh 5th gen set. After all we have had a lot of cards for 1st-4th gen which are compatible to the current TCG format. So making way for a set for 5th gen pokemon is plausible.

Wouldn't this be the Fall set for Japan?

Well...The Shining cards in some Neo sets and the Crystal-Type cards in some e-Card sets were also just in these sets.
The Legend sets are for sure some excursion for Gold/Silver remakes and won´t last for more sets until L3.
The japanese fall set will be probably the first fifth generation set.

This could be the last LEGEND block set ;_;. Unless they continue with it for 5th gen. (Fat chance)

I think the October release will the last and we won't see 5th gen till next year, after the release of Pokemon Black & White.
