Playerking, I think it's pretty cheesy that it's based off America as well, but even I have to admit that's kind of a dumb reason not to buy it, if you really like the new Pokemon. I mean the Pokemon are what matters most IMO, not the locations or trainers.

I love those sketches. So much so that I'm using one of Mijumaru's as an avatar.

I really don't think that Pokémon under Shikijika is Tsutaaja's evolution. To me, it looks like another Shikijika, but with its fur bristled out to look like a bush. Could it be Shikijika's evolution? Or maybe Shikijika can make its fur look like grass, maybe so it can hide or as part of an attack? Look closely at the half green, half yellow object, it really looks like Shikijika's ear. It has the yellow spots like Shikijika has too.

Also, I like that Isshu is based off of an American city. I'm interested in seeing how the Japanese portray us Americans, seeing as how most of them only know us through the media. I wonder if there'll be a Starbucks in every Pokémon Center.

japan was done and over used imo im glad its a new location and new york at.concrete jungle where dreams are made of lol

Yes the Pokemon are what make me like it but i have to walk around everyday doing missions and battling and everytime i walk around i will be reminded that this isn't the Pokemon games that i remember.

I'd prefer another japan based region instead of new york but eh... it's just like playerking85 said, America gets everything... -_-''

I find the fact that anyone would dislike it being based off America silly, all of the rest were based off Japan; and the Japanese had no problem with that. I would personally find it rather wondrous if I could see the hudson river and think I caught a Basaurao in there. America hardly gets everything period, and it was obvious that America would be the next place they would go instead of Japan, its also directly to the east of Japan, which makes it even easier to understand.

The "new pokemon" appears to be a Shikijika summer evolution, or just another pose of the summer forme; notice that its on the same page as Shikijika, and that all of the other pages are of the same pokemon or evolution line.

Anyway, still find all of the art very nice; zekrom specifically, makes me like it even more.

japan gets exclusive games and everything faster technologically. i'd almost say they get everything.

and also stop complaining because of what it's based off of. jeez weren't mouthing off before they said that were u?

@lotusoftheleaf Good point, it does look like Shikijika's ear! However, there is also a green leaf-like thing to the left, which looks somewhat similar to the tail of Tsujata's 2nd evo in the anime sketch pic, and a smaller leaf-like thing that could be one of it's other tail leaves. I really wish they just showed that whole picture...

@legendhunter32: Oh, man! I hope you're right; it'd be nice for Shikijika to get evolved forms that rely on the seasons like Burmy's rely on its current cloak. At least, I think that's what you were getting at. O: I wonder if we'll get to see what that Pokémon below Shikijika is...

America's just a well known country I guess, though I doubt we're well known for anything good. Most countries see us all as being fat, loud, greedy and violent and the sad truth is a lot of Americans are that way. But hey, if America gets a region based on it, maybe Gen. VI will see one based on Mexico or Great Britain or some other country aside from Japan.

well every culture badmouths other cultures. anyways who cares, being based on america doesn't mean it is america. not that it should matter anyway.

@Tarazuma good point, but remember it was just a beta and as ash and the guy and team rocket was changed the pokemon also may be changed ...
ash was going to be this ...
