(1) Preliminary 'Next Destinies' Info Released!

Wait I'm confused. Does that mean that the theme decks will contain a pokemon EX or is there a different Reshiram/Zekrom I haven't heard of (or are they making english exclusive ones)?
If it's the first one then that's amazing. I guess it probably makes a bit more sense to make regular EX's just normal holo rares because otherwise the set would contain 14 secret rares. But still that would be such an insanely nice move if it means cards like Mewtwo EX are just as rare as cards like Coballion or Torndaus are just now.

I'm completely alone in thinking this and I know that, but having as many super rares in one set as we'll get in Next Destinies is G-R-O-S-S. And no I'm not optimistic at all that regular EX cards will be holo-level rarity. At best I think they'll be Prime-level which is okay but with 6+ Full Arts still in the typical super rare position, it's just so :/ to me.
Psycho Drive/Hail Blizzard's regular cards are pretty though, so there's that. ^_^

All I want to know is if newer Pokemon-EX function the same way as the old Pokemon-ex as they react to certain cards; i.e. will an Extra Ball do more damage to a newer Pokemon-EX?

I'm pretty sure that, with the exception of the EX cards, each Reshiram and Zekrom printed are the exact same. So I'd assume that the theme decks actually come with the EX versions (which I heavily doubt, as it specifically didn't say that the EXs were in the decks) or a completely new Reshiram and Zekrom.
Or just more reprints like we've expected of them several times already. Sadly, I personally believe this will be the case.

Really, really, really excited for this set.
Awesome that we're gonna get just about ALL of Hail Blizzard/Psycho Drive and the Reshiram/Zekrom Decks.
The fact that there are 8 EXs and 6 FA versions better mean that they aren't extremly rare/hard to find.
Plus the set logo is beautiful compared to nearly all other set logos.
I hope I can finally convince my dad to let me stay for the draft after the pre-release

Welp, I know where all my holiday-present money is going towards. The promotional pamphlet also says that there will be special energies included in the set so we'll likely be getting a printing of Double Colorless and Prism/Rainbow Energy.

Does more FAs/Ultra Rares mean it will be easier to pull Mewtwo-EX or harder?
Harder, I would assume. Say the only Ultra Rares are Mewtwo-EX and Kyurem-EX, in any pack with an Ultra Rare you would have a 50% chance of getting a Mewtwo-EX. If there are 8 Ultra Rares though, in any given pack with an Ultra Rare you would still only have a 12.5% chance of getting a Mewtwo-EX. Unless of course they make the Ultra Rares easier to get, which is possible because there are so many.
I think the Theme Decks will feature the Zekrom and Reshiram from the Thunderus VS Tornadus Gift Set. EX cards in Theme Decks is a little too much. I'm so excited! My new favorite expansion in BW!! All those EX cards in one set! Seems like Call Of Legends. I'm guessing the pack art will be Kyurem, Zelrom, Reshiram, and Mewtwo (Pokemon usualy aren't on packs and Theme Decks in one set, but Great Encounters was an exception. I know Mewtwo is right, but the others...). I'm a huge Zekrom fan, (made obvious by my username) so Next Destinies with Zekrom EX, the EX collector's tins with Zekrom EX, and a Zekrom Theme Deck = EPIC!!!!! Does anyone know if the Theme Decks will still be released earlier than the set? I don't expect a change in the BW Theme Deck tradition, but just to be sure. I can't wait to see all of this!
This set is going to be epic. I really hope the non-FA EX's will be holo rares, cuz in need me some Mewtwos.
And the way I see it, there are 3 possibilities for the theme decks (since it didn't say that the EX versions were included).
#1: The EX versions are in the decks, making everyone very happy and pretty much guaranteeing the normal EX's to be holo rares. I think this is unlikely, as it didn't advertise the EX versions for the decks and we will probably never get a theme deck that good. Not to mention that Reshiram and Zekrom EX are getting released as tin promos, so it wouldn't make sense to feature them in the theme decks.
#2: The same Reshiram and Zekrom are reprinted yet again and featured in the decks. It did say that they were featuring the "popular" Reshiram and Zekrom. The Tornadus/Thundurus Gift set versions are still yet to be released, so they could be the deck versions. I hate to say it, but this is probably the most likely option, but if it does happen it will be extremely ridiculous. We have enough Reshirams and Zekroms, that you very much.
#3: We get brand new, never-before-seen Reshiram/Zekrom cards, maybe even sporting an ability. I would love to see this happen, especially if they are playable.

I actually really hate this logo. It's far too grungy looking, makes me think I'm looking at a tapout ad or something. I much prefer the very clean look of the EP/NV logos.
Anyways, I'm really hoping that Kyurem Ex and that Japanese stadium with Mewtwo and Kyurem in the art make it into the set. It would utterly annoy me if that stadium wouldn't appear in the same set that the pokemon it's promoting are in. Will definitely buy a box of this though, unless we last minute find out it's filled to the brim with horrible unplayable japanese promos *cough emerging powers*
