Yeah, but what if this fanart did indeed come first? The design itself could have indeed originated as fan work, also it's in the same pose as the sprite. I probably am wishing it to be fake too much.

Except there's a date on when the fanart was put up... on the same page you linked. It says 9/30/2013 09:09 which would be around an hour and 30 minutes ago in Japan.

Honestly a lot of you fake wishers look really dumb with all these random theories, I'm not saying it's real, but seriously stop jumping the gun on the fake button.

In addition, the Chespin final evo looks a little oddly posed and barely shaded, and I feel like I've seen that screenshot before, so maybe it was photoshopped over something else.

Looks similar to the Quilladin that Zerudez made. I kinda hope it's real since I liked his design (though thicker than I'd imagine) and probably would make him happy knowing his idea was pretty close.
