I was really excited, then I saw that they are DS games... Really game freak? REALLY? The 3DS is going to be over a year old by the time these games come out and we STILL don't have a main series Pokemon game for 3DS. Gamefreak was one of THE first devs to get a 3DS devkit and yet we there is still no main series 3DS game in site. The whole sequel thing would have made a lot of sense if they where for 3DS, but them being on DS makes this feel very pointless.

This is probably the only possible thing I see wrong with this. There is absolutely no reason to take advantage of a whole system that is just now starting to hit major strides after a price drop which makes the system even more affordable. I understand you can play them on any dang DS system you have under the sun and that's fine and all, but sooner or later it has to happen (and if it doesn't with the eventual R/S remakes after these games or the 6th Gen then I don't even know). Besides, the previous games were just like that too. I guess nothing really changes in two years time to them.

Besides that, Kyurem just became a LOT more cooler for me. I hated how he looked in Black and White but then he gets two awesome forms and TOTALLY REDEEMED HIMSELF. Don't really know what to make of the "sequel" though. To me, this just looks like Gray and Grey lol.

dmaster out.

Apparently they are coming out the same day in the U.S. and Japan. Awaiting confirmation.

That would be amazing. No more having to worry about too many spoilers.

Yeah, for the first time, I don't want spoilers.... like, at all. I just want to know if it's a chronological sequel or a remake, and it's 99.9% a sequel. :)

You surprise me yet again Nintendo.
And I really hope we get it when it comes out in Japan.

btw, I think they will maintain the Dragon/Ice typing... They still have ice on their bodies and they're still dragons. Plus, both Ice Burn and Freeze Shock are Ice-type moves, not Fire and Electric respectively...

I dunno, I'm kind of hoping the new forms will be Fire/Ice and Electric/Ice. That would be some cool typing.

From the website:

"Keep checking Pokemon.com for details, including news, images, and videos, which will be revealed throughout the year."

Pokemon.com doesn't generally give details about games after their release, so I'm willing to bet it won't be released in the US until late 2012 or early 2013.

To me they look more like Reshiram and Zekrom than Kyurem.
And what's with all the Chrayoganols(spelling) on the poster.

I WOULD LOVE THAT!

I wish they would make 1 version for the 3DS and one for the DS, or something like that. I personally own a 3DS and would love for it to be on the 3DS somehow. Just think how good it would look, say goodbye to the pixel filled Castelia City. (Just look at your character when you are there and you'll see what I'm saying.) I understand that most people don't have a 3DS but Nintendo should gift those who do with one of these on the 3DS.
Please be on the 3DS somehow.

I'm actually wondering...

What if those aren't Kyurem... but Zekrom and Reshiram True Formes...?

It's Kyurem according to the movie, also the HEAVY design elements from Kyurem in both of them.

They are a fusion of Kyurem and Zekrom and Kyurem and Reshiram, can you not see all the design elements from Kyurem?

It says 2. I don't know if it has been confirmed on this thread yet (I read to page 6), but I really don't know if I should be getting excited,

Is it a "3rd game"
or is it a SEQUEL in that it continues the story?

If the former, forget it, I'm not buying a third game until I can get it for $20. If the latter, DO WANT. If it has 3DS features SO MUCH MORE WANT. I was rather annoyed with B/W with it not being on 3DS. And by the looks of Nobunaga's (Right?) Ambition and B/W2 I'm actually feeling more annoyed and disappointed then excited. I want a 3DS Pokemon. :<

Now this may sound long winded and confusing, but hear me out

Notice how the '2' in the black and white logos are Blue/Red? This may refer to the colors that reshiram/ Zekrom glow, but it could also refer to the colors of, guess what.... Kyogre And Groudon!!!!! Could the hoenn storyline be in these games as well?

Just noticed as well the '2's also have visible lines in them, could this also represent the body lines on Kyogre/Groudon?

Now I know this may be unlikely, but never have there been direct sequels to pokemon games like this before, and this was huge surprise to us all, but gamfreak are known to surprise us even more before games are due to be released.

What do you think?

Really hoping they stay as Ice/Dragon. KyuRam looks amazing and I would hate to have it die to every Stealth Rock or Ground type move known to pokemon/man. Same with KyuRom. Electric/Ice is a really bad typing.

I'm thinking the same thing because it makes no sense to drop the dragon type to make them Fire/Ice type and Electric/Ice type because that makes them weaker as far as weaknesses and resistances. I honestly think we will have our first 3 Typed pokemon! Fire/Ice/Dragon type Electric/Ice/Dragon type. Sounds crazy? Yes! But for a legendary...not so much!
