(2) Platinum's English Release Date, Next TCG Set Name [12/9]

I can't wait until it comes out! How much will this game cost? That's good the game is coming sooner then I thought.
 
Oh cool. Platnium TCG and the game gets release dates. *Marks prereleases* I can't wait to play in those again...sweet memories. Also March 22nd for the game. Nice. :D Ewww, English names suck, but I'll live.

The reason is the news isn't on pokemon.com , is that the news being on the Curcuit City website was a mistake.
 
Maybe they don't want to make an official date yet, and that's why they pulled it...or someonei s in twubble!

I cannot wait though!

It will be Galaxy's Conquest with the missing cards from Infinite Fight in the Destroyed Sky/Giratina vs Dialga theme deck. 99.9% certain. Along with more horrible reverse holo replacements on shiny cards and no nice new level X holo formatting and more crappy pull rates! ;)

All in time for the movie and game, since the set will then have Giratina, Origin Forme, Shaymin and it's Sky Forme. We won't see The Limit to the Bonds of Time for quite a while in english. It'll be very interesting to see how they translate the SP cards due to their lack of evolution chain. They stopped Pokemon VS from coming out because of that very reason in English. Granted, the SP cards are a lot more gimped than the cards from VS, but I reckon there will be a lot of retconning or just outright bad translation work to make them even more gimped this set. It'll also be the introduction of the Lost Zone in the english series game.

Yes, that's true. Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest IV have both had previous localizations so the processes for those games were likely expedited a bit. I know that DQ in particular had quite a few differences from the original NES game though, mainly because of the difference in standards between Enix America and the current Square Enix. But even so, Platinum probably borrows a lot of translation work from Diamond and Pearl so localization wouldn't taken as long as a fresh Pokemon game.

I doubt we'd be given a DSi bundle pack with Platinum. If anything, they'll save the DSi for after Platinum's US launch so they can sell us the Giratina DS Lite systems that Japan recieved alongside Platinum, because people would flock to them. I already own a Pikachu DS Lite and the new Mario one, but I know they could easily sucker the money for a Giratina out of me.

Oh I just learned some Japanese from a website that has a demo of their language learning software. Here it is: Sakana wa ahiru desu. He he he it is a sentence I made up with the words I learned. Look it up on google translate if you wanna know what it means, unless you already know what it means.

...not only is that off topic, but it makes no since. a fish is not a duck, and google translator doesn't teach anything.
 
Awesome. I predicted the last week of March or the First week of April. I think the 12th movie will run the last weekend in Febraury.:)

Dude thats the power of Japan! Also there's this thing called "translation," which actually takes quite a while to do. Plus they probably have to make sure that there isn't any "inappropriate" content that they have to take out (POKEMON WITH BLOODSHED, WOOT!) I could be wrong, but thats just my theory. So dude, don't act impatient if the release dates between Japan's and USA's are different.

Hey, I'll play Shoddy anytime even after the release. I don't think it won't be used anymore...

Anyways, both the release of the game and the next TCG set are great to hear! :)

The set is going to feature awesome cards, and if the movie, TCG set, and game release or air around the same time, it'll be three new additions to Pokemon at once. I can't wait to have a legit team on Platnium, and also be able to treasure the amazing Luxray X! The movie is also going to be a blast as well. The latest Pokemon news is getting better and better as we wait for these future releases. ;)
 
Wait, are people calling the death of Shoddy because of the addition of the random battle feature in Platinum? I don't see how that would kill simulators at all. Considering most teams you'll play probably will not be very competitive, much like random battles on PBR.

I think that something else should be added in the title because we've already had several video game packs, so why not go a little different while incorporating the idea?
 
The cover looks like the Japanese one except for the lettering and headers are English. I can't wait for it to come out. Apparently this date is NOT the actual date. It could be changed at any time.:)
