(2) Pokemon Sunday Shows LEGEND Cards, Mysterious Question Mark [1/9]

We all have our priorities in the Pokémon fandom and I always think of PokéBeach first and foremost as a site that places PARTICULAR emphasis on the TCG and reports on it in more depth than on any other site. New Pokémon are definitely interesting, but so are new cards and WPM will report on any new Pokémon as and when they are confirmed ;)

Impressively pretty cards again - the artwork on these LEGEND cards is something else. They look effective in dealing out heavy damage too (Raikou & Suicune LEGEND having Thunderbolt anyone?). Maybe worth the set-up hassle of getting them into play.

Does anyone asctually care about the Pokémon Sunday episode? I'd think a possible new Pokémon is more important than new trading cards.

I don't care about a new pokemon until it becomes a broken new card :p

Legend Cards. ^.^

Their attacks look interesting, and they're HP is good. But that artwork... I could care less about those other things I mentioned. =P Entei/Raikou as previously stated looks awesome as it appears they are fighting each other, and they have free retreat. Gotta love free retreat. Suicune/Entei looks like they're both about to clash into each other, or even give the other their best elemental attack. But Raikou/Suicune..... Suicune is very poorly drawn to say the least, and they paired it with Raikou. Let's hope Zack likes the artwork on Entei and Suicune. Because they're paired with his favorite Pokemon! =O

The artwork in those cards amazes me! I love the Legendary Dogs, and this artwork makes me like them even more!

I'm thinking the next 2 peice Legends should be Kyogre and Groudon anyone else in on this?
and after the next set would be double types Regis?
PS: WPM mentioned that the Johto legends wouldn't be 2 peices, but they are :(
I wonder how many you could get per box.

Awesome cards and I'm thrilled dual-types are back! However, the art seems less impressive to me. Suicune really got the shaft in the design of these cards. Look at the Suicune and Entei card: What is wrong with it's snout? o_O;; Also on the Raikou and Suicune card, it's body looks like it was hit by a truck. It's hind leg looks like it's broken. XD

I'm probably being a little too critical, but Suicune overall on these cards looks really weird. Entei and Raikou look fine though.

I agree, Suicune looks terrible. It's the only one of the legendary beasts I actually like and they ruined it :(

The suicune on Suicune/Raikou also has its right hind leg screwed up. It is to long and like extending out to the far left of its body. I'm dissapointed in that card.

I think the artwork on these are even better than ones on Lugia and Ho-Oh. As Lou Cypher said, my favorite is the Entei & Raikou one. Entei looks like he is about to eat Raikou, lol.

Anyway, I hope these cards are playable.

And by the way, for the person that asked about the Legends per box: In Japanese HGSS, you get one or two FULL (as in both halves...both parts are always in the same pack) Legends, so I imagine that ratio would remain the same. (It may possibly be a little higher, due to the number of Legends in this set being three, instead of two)

The above does not apply to the English version, however....=[

There's a different thread for that.

The Legend cards look simply amazing. Dual types, two Pokemon on the same card, and gorgous artwork make these cards almost the best I've ever seen.

dmaster out.

I wonder if they'll do the same thing for Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, if they ever portray those as LEGENDs.

It's not just because PokeBeach happens to emphasize on the TCG, but that the Pokemon Sunday episode doesn't really give us that much. It's just a question mark. We know something is coming, and that's awesome. But it's not even a silhouette. There isn't much for anyone to discuss just yet. Unless of course you're Unown Lord of BMGf, then you'll have theories for days. But most people are not.

Am I the only one that doesn't like the art on these? Lugia and Ho-Oh were way better and far more realistic, and the Pokemon in these seem more fit to be on a card alone. They're all ignoring their partners on the cards(well some of them are looking in their general directions) and doing their own thing so the cards don't really have any flow.

The new Pokemon is intriguing. I hope the star of this movie is a new Pokemon and preferably a cool one. I hope Generation 5 sees a bit more effort in design(don't get me wrong, I'm warming up to Generation 4, but they were pretty ghastly.).

I personally am not a huge fan of the art on these card, I'm not a huge fan of this whole kinda artistic/realistic sorta look. Maybe I'll warm up to them if we get some higher quality scans.

*_* I'm in love with the art on these cards. Can't wait to see higher quality images.

The Entei & Raikou Legend is my favorite of the three.

Entei & Raikou have 140 HP because they have free retreat while the others have 160 HP but 1 retreat cost. And they are dual types only because it's two pokémon combined. I wouldn't expect to see more dual type cards other than these ones...

So far, the artwork quality is second to none for these Legend cards. The art work tops that of any Yugioh, magic or pokemon card.

I like the art for Raikou & Entei best. The suicune pic on the far right, looks bad.

As long as legendary pokemon become Legend cards and no other pokemon, then its cool.

The art on the packs looks pretty cool or is that the cards themselves? They look like booster pack covers to me though but looks pretty cool though/:)
