(2) Shiny Collection Mini-Set, First BW8 Details [10/22]

This will be interesting-maybe the feedback from Dragon Vault was pretty good so they decided to make more.Im swaying towards is maybe getting these with Plasma Gale,but probably not.
Plasma pokemon even MORE powerful? I guess deck searching energy acceleration and an EX that can take 2 prizes off a tynamo wasn't quite good enough.
Hopefully it's a good mix of regular cards and plasma cards. The owners pokemon sets are cool, but I definitely prefer the regular cards more. And cannot wait til we see stuff from this shiny set.

I wonder if they will have an ability like Dialga LVX. It would probably be too overpowered though.xGallade said:

Japan needs to stop making printing so many new sets and promo cards! Don't get me wrong, I love seeing new cards and getting a sneak peek at what'll likely be played in upcoming formats. But seriously, we're getting a filler set when we're already so far behind Japan. And now there's a mini set to add to the list of cards we're in need of and won't for a while. We'll never catch up at this rate and they just keep on coming! ;_;
Edit: Oh but errr, to be a little bit more on topic. Nice to get some more info on Japan's upcoming set, though not sure if "Team Plasma cards will become more powerful with this set." is something I look forward to or not...

My mistake, when I said catch up I just meant a lot closer then we actually currently are. I'd like to see a close 2nd, not trailing so far behind that there's no chance of catching up. I'd like to imagine that we'll eventually be no more than 1 set behind Japan, though that may be nothing but wishful thinking.Furn said:

Common sense says kids won't know the hoenn leaders nowadays but will know the others. So it's likely we'll get a remake while they work on a possible Gen 6.
Kinda like how we got HG/SS to occupy ourselves and got Gen 5 soon after.
P.S. All those hints in-game and with the merchandise. do you of all people REALLY doubt it?

hmmm... about BW8, that wasn't much information since stating Thundurus T will be an EX was already obvious and all Deoxys formes being in the set was expected BUT... They specifically state Thundurus T being an EX, but they don't mention Deoxys being an EX... weird...
about the mini-set... If it's called shiny but doesn't have anything to do with shiny pokémon, and no real special theme (like Dragon Selection was the introduction of the Dragon-type to the TCG) what's the point of this set? Get more girls to the TCG? Maybe I just answered my own question...
