Futurama FTW. I'll bet you my playset of Uxies that increased solar activity disturbs you more than serial killers PPM.
You don't believe that can cause major problems here on Earth? Well I want to see you then when all the communications are shut down, no light, no electricity, no water...Paper PokeMaster said:lolz at that random last post.
Yes, increased solar activity disturbs me even more than serial killers. And NOTHING disturbs me more than serial killers.

The Mayans predicted only a start of a new cycle, nothing end of the world. btw, he didn't make a theory, you didn't either, he made an idea, be aware you don't get confused with the word ''theory'' in scientific means.jirachinick said:That's a good theory, I think it could be true, if you look at my banner, you can see a theory.. did the Mayans predict the end of the world or the start of it? This can help find a theory.
Nah I don't think they were able to predict Ice Ages, they can't be predicted on logic mostly, it's just guessing when they come (something they didn't do) It's just a coincident there's one coming soon.PokemonPhantom3 said:I honestly believe the Mayans did predict something (they were the mayans) And, as Pokequaza said, its just the end of the cycle. For some strange reason... I really think that this "Cycle" might bring the next ice age =\
Well most of the causes of an Ice Age are changes in the Earth's Atmosphere, caused by greenhouse gasses for example or the position of the continents. The Mayans weren't able to predict both of them. First they couldn't have had any idea we are now poluting the world and causing the atmosphere filled with massive amounts of Carbonoxide. About the continents and ocean currents they hadn't an idea either, at least not the nesecary information to make such statements like causing an Ice Age. So if they made predictions of Ice Ages it was guessing for them and hoping it was right.afstandopleren said:I think they were able to predict that. They used different logic then you and me can currently comprehend. And which coincidence is coming soon?
afstandopleren said:._. How the heck did the other Ice Ages happen then? Hmm... didn't I said ''positions of the continents'' and assuming there were continents back then too I don't see the problem. And how on earth can an Ice Age be coming if the temperature is climbing? I'm sorry, but I find that just...unfitting. True, it's unfitting if you don't know the truth. I take the example what's going on atm; it's caused by two things: Greenhouse gasses and the Solar Radiation. The greenhouse gasses lower our ''defense'' (creating gaps in the atmosphere) and the Sun's released energy raises due the increased Solar Radiation. And of course what you would expect is the Earth to warm up. The poles will melt eventually and releasing big amounts of fresh water in the ocean. (In the north of the Atlantic Ocean). Fresh water is less dense than salt water and causes the currents to slow down, the same currents bringing Europe warm air from the Caribbean. These currents will start to slow down and since it's a ''chain reaction'' of currents eventually all will slow down, not bringing any hot air around the world anymore and the cold from the North will take over and... A new Ice Age!
That's why moving continents can cause Ice Ages too, by blocking ocean current for example, or if there's too much land mass around the equator the Sun can hardly warm any water up anymore (since water is warmed up a lot faster than land).
Besides, I know you don't want to read this, but there really is no such thing as coincidence. If it's true, about a new Ice Age, It's not a coincidence an Ice Age will come, it's a coincidence an Ice Age will come and a new cycle will start (according to the Mayans) than that will change people's minds as they are more forced to deal with nature than we are now. You mean the fifth cycle where everybody will care for nature more than happened before. It happens for a reason. And the reason is mainly continent moving, something the Mayans weren't able to predict. They weren't obsessed with nature as much as they were with time.
afstandopleren said:From what I get, with what you are saying, is that you are actually proofing that it's impossible to have an Ice Age start at that date in 2012 I didn't proof it? I didn't even said it, it is of course possible, but then it would be luck when that would happen, very lucky... and btw, can you actually say when an Ice Age does start? It hasn't really a beginning, neither an end, it just slowly flows from one into the other....and you don't even notice it.... You should also read some books about the Mayan subject before uttering such nonsense. And no, I'm not going to chew it all up for you. And with that, I'm done with this thread.
