How did you pronounce Oreburgh city? And to a lesser extent Petalburg (said the same)?
 
In all my years of being involved in the fanbase.... I have NEVER seen the anime get THIS epic.... I'll definately be watching it when it premieres next Saturday. I cannot WAIT for this now.
 
the show does look amazing. the games, still unsure about. The names of the cities/towns seem fine... it parallels the naming convention typical to what you'll find in America. The people's names however don't look too amazing and some are just-- lame.
 
Knowing america, they will probably edit out some of the things for anime.
 
Has Pikachu learnt a new move? He seems to be using Volt Tackle, then Agility, then he explodes.

Also, I thought the BW Character names would be closer to the Japanese. I thought they'd be Timmy and Tilly. But both names are girls and Whitlea is a stretch. :/

Man I can't wait for the new season to start for Pokemon Black and white. That would be awesome. I can't wait. It will be good XD.:)
 
1. It's Whitelea

2. It's an old variation of Whitley (pronounced "Whi-te-ly", like how you would pronounce "Whitley" but with an extra vowel in there). It means "White Meadow." Likewise, Blair is a unisex name that means "Field/Plain (the noun, not the adjective)". And yes, Whitelea is an actual name that a lot of you probably mispronounced until you read this post.

Whitelea and Blair work very well; they are both real names that have similar meanings that play off of White and Black.

The laser cannons Team Rocket is using makes me think of Genesect. A lot. They're subliminally preparing us for it, those sneaky buggers.

Anyway, the English names of locations and leaders will take some getting used to, but that's to be expected. I was worried about what direction they'd take Geechisu's name, but I love Ghetsis. It sounds ancient.
 
Yeah... more "what the ...?" names... wtv... I don't care very much about the human caracters... I'm just slightly mad that they changed Shell Blade to Razor Shell... Shell Blade sounded much cooler...

That TR VS TP episode looks promising...
 
Yes! Victini event! I'm happy it's a monthlong event, otherwise I'd have to prepress the games, which I strongly detest. I will not fall for gamestops ploy!
 
Anyone want the TP vs. TR thing translated, first off,

That team plasma member does say "we won't let anyone else have the power that belongs to a hero", using eiyuu for hero.

eiyuu is now used for:
N in the games
Zekrom in the movie

What's the biggest possibility? N, of course.

Anyway, the full translation,
Narrator: Giovanni lands in the Unova Region and Team Rocket’s Grand Plan begins.
Giovanni: Are the preparations completed?
TRio: Yes, sir.
Giovanni: This is it; our mission begins now.
Jessie: Weapon, on!
TR Prof.: The ancient age lives on.
Narrator: From within the Anicent Castle, awoken from its slumber in the Resort Desert, it appears - The Meteorite!
Giovanni: Oooh
James: It’s like the sun!
Giovanni: Yes, what we have obtained is certainly a sun!
Team Plasma: We will not let anyone have what should be owned by a Hero! (? This bit is tough to hear for me, but it’s basically what he’s saying. Will check later with a Japanese person)
Giovanni: And thus, we, Team Rocket- (Lights go out)huh?
Narrator: Team Rocket has their last team meeting about taking total control of Unova.
Looker: It’s them!
Narrator: Then, they are attacked by a mysterious organization.
Team Plasma: Hurh?
Narrator: Team Rocket and Team Plasma have a fierce battle around the meteorite.
Prof. Juniper: What is this? The energy’s acceleration has stopped! <fast-talking gibberish>
Narrator: The meteorite sends the city into a panic!
James: Fire!
Narrator: Then, the countdown until Castelia City’s annihilation begins!
Pikachu: Pi
Narrator: Can Ash and Pikachu really save Castelia City from this crisis?!
Ash: GO!
Pikachu: Pika!
Narrator: Team Plasma vs. Team Rocket - You DO NOT want to miss the conclusion to this battle!


Could "The sun" be a reference to Ulgamoth, or even just a bright light? Who knows.

And why is noone complaining of the Ice Gymleaders name? BRYCEN? SERIOUSLY? WE ALREADY HAVE AN ICE GYMLEADER NAMED BRYCE!

Really, i thought it his name was caled Pryce? Hmm, probably just me though. Either way i like all of the names except for Arty's.
 
Oh it matters not, it's only 2 letters. And why did I write down Bad Grass (maybe my minds slipping away faster than I though....).
