Grass type Pokemon EX? Hello Keldeo counter!
His ability works as a free catcher with every plasma energy... Now decks could have like 8 catchers thanks to this guy. Will Reshiram EX and Ho-Oh EX see a little more play if this guy is running around? I don't really play the card game, but just curious

Seriously, this pleases me immensely. I've been looking for a good Grass-type attacker for a while. The only other idea I had is [removed], but at least that one would be more splashable...
Either way, I wish to build this deck.

Anyway, this Pokémon is SO impressive! Look, it has an Ability that functions just like Pokémon Catcher! Keep in mind though that this translation says Plasma Energy must be attached from hand in order to work. Which means, it wouldn't work with Colress Machine, right?
Anyway, it seems like quite an impressive Deck, and if you can make room for Ether, Pokédex, and Lunatone PLS, you can fire off Megalo Cannon on Turn 1. Wow. That's cool!

So with Plasma Freeze we get at least Deoxys and Thunderous as EXs, and now we see this Genesect what other EXs are out in japan that we dont have yet? And lastly what Legendaries are left that don't have an EX card? (I can think of Virizion, Suicune, Regice/Regirock and Arceus)

Seriously though, grass types will finally be viable again. I mean, you have night spear and catcher in one evil deadly package! Also I could see this really working with Thundurus EX, a tech Lugia EX, and Plasma Frigate to get rid of your weakness and retrieve special energy from the discard. You could also throw in Deoxys EX for some extra damage if needed. Very nice.
(now watch them print a fire type version of sigilyph with a better attack! D: )

Guys, the Genesect ex: 59/76. As for the regular one, cant tell. Also, a playable EX?Wow!
Looking forward to playing with this card!! OMG bye bye keledo ex!!! It was a nice deck while it lasted. Can't wait to get a hold of this card!!
Next format when there's no Catcher, Genesect-EX is going to be extremely broken. If you guys remember Luxray GL Lv.X, it's price was very high because of its ability. With Genesect-EX having a similar ability, I can imagine it being extremely broken. The large setback, however, this card has is energy acceleration. Unless there is a new form of energy acceleration for grass energies, Genesect would, if anything, only act as a benchsitter in Deoxys/Lugia/Thundurus builds because of its ability.
Also, Colress Machine doesn't work with Genesect's ability since it says that you have to attach the energy to it from your hand.

Now that Porygon Z isn't looking half bad. Attach to Genesect, use the ability, move the energy from Genesect to an attacker.
And once Catcher leaves the format (well, the unbalancing really begins), Porygon Z can't be "catcher bait".

I guess the keldeo EX decks... are gonna be blasted out of the water
There was a reprint of catcher in dark explorers, do you really think they'll rotate that many sets out?
Anyway, R.I.P. KeldeoEX. Watch them release something else that counts as plasma energy and/or some way to get plasma energy back to your hand easily to make this more insane. And the normal one seems like a fairly good starter for a potential Genesect deck. Near the same damage output and call for family. Sure, it's a limited not very good call for family, but it could work as a turn one attack.
Also, I know this being a grass type is great for countering Keldeo, but imagine if it was steel. Klinklang all of the decks.
