Well, that's not true. :/
"Gargoyles" have been depicted in Ancient Egyptian architecture although, in that case they weren't directly called Gargoyles. However, the Gargoyles we've come to know are actually Medieval. . . Yes, they are on this side of the world, however, Gargoyles are not French. . .
And the reason they wouldn't include a "new Pokemon" in the anime is quite simple, do you remember a Gargoyle pokemon in R/B/Y? This takes place during the first generation games, it's Origins, where it all started. Not where it is now. Trust me, I'd like to see a Gargoyle Pokemon as much as the next guy, but it's just a generic Statue. . . What would it look like if there was a giant Rhydon sitting on one of those pillars. . ?
Also, I HIGHLY doubt there will be Mega Evolutions in the special . . . Remember when your Charizard Mega Evolved in that final battle with "Blue"?

Me neither.
1.Actually, no. The original story behind gargoyles and the word gargoyle both have French origins. The common gargoyle is based on these. What you are referencing are a different type, usually with things such as lions for faces.
2. Anything's possible.
3. How do you keep getting it to say everybody liked your post?

EDIT: It's your dam signature isn't it.

Yes it is the signature, if you look at another one of his posts someone actually did like it.

Also I have to agree that Gargoyles are most likely of French Origin.

Perhaps the story and the pronunciation did yes, but the actual Gargoyle itself isn't French. That's like saying Lions are American because the word Lion and stories about Lions were created by Americans. . . It was adopted, to say it's french oriented however, is wrong.

Although, I will say, you're right, anything IS possible, I agree whole-heartedly, however, I see it as a generic Gargoyle, it was never meant to be a Pokemon to begin with in R/B/Y, G/S/C, R/S/E, or D/P/Pt, and it's not meant to be now. . .

Sharp aint ya? :p

Unfotunately, they're not. . .

As I said, the word Gargouille is a French Pronunciation, yes absolutely, but France is not where Gargoyles originated. . . Therefore, they are not French.

Ok there was a miscommunication on my part. I meant French, not France. Big difference. All of those places had French as a second or third language and were most likely influenced by the French story. Besides Kalos seems to be partly based on Europe as a whole in addition to france. Also the games are usually based on culture more than fact and when you think gargoyles most people think France simply because it's a well known part of their culture. Certainly more so than Ancient Egypt.

I really don't want to drag this along any further, so I'll leave it at this, none of those spoke French, Romans spoke Latin, the Greeks spoke. . . Greek, and Egyptians speak Arabic. And that is where they first startd being created to be fancy Gutters. You can believe it's a new Pokemon, that's fine, and I'll admit you could be right. However, I'm pretty sure it was meant to be a generic gargoyle that couldnt be done because of the GBCs limitations, and carried on simply because of tradition.
I have no idea why they would have a single generation 6 Pokemon in a series about the first generation, but you're right, it could be a new pokemon.

But I personally, strongly doubt it.

Why has nobody tried, or tried and posted the differences between Mewtwo and Mega Mewtwo's stats after mega evolving it in the demo? T-T

I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere that we won't be able to see the Pokémon's stats during battle again...

They could have easily been something they removed for the demo so people couldn't quickly figure out the base stats of the pokemon.

In RB, he can have anything, but in HGSS he has pikachu/venusaur/blastoise/lapras/snorlax. but those pokemon are mostly based in yellow and ash's pokemon.

I think the intent behind Red's GSC and HGSS rosters is that all of the Pokemon are required events and/or gifts in the Kanto games. Pikachu/Blastoise/Charizard/Venusaur are from Oak, Espeon is from Celadon Mansion, Lapras is from Silph, and Snorlax is a mandatory battle. Yeah, it doesn't make sense that he has all three Starters and Blue has none of them, but still. I think if the intent were "Yellow," Blue would have his Yellow team rather than most of his original line-up.

I meant French is still a popular language in those areas. As a second or third language. But yeah let's move on.

I pointed out red's pokemon being given by the game rather than captured. What I said was that red's HGSS roster was based on the pokemon surely available to the player in yellow (pikachu, the starters, snorlax, lapras, even eevee, and not counting the legends and mewtwo) and blue's roster was going to be taken from the original red/blue games (because it's the source), if the player chooses charmander.
I'm resorting to the citation of red's known pokemon because when you play, you can have whatever team you want (hell, mine's ninetales/nidoqueen/vileplume/jolteon/articuno/venomoth... red's not going to own any of those), but that's not gonna be the case in origins.
Red's the signature trainer of the VG franchise, so it makes sense for him to have all starters as the champion in GSHGSS. pikachu is there because he's the mascot of the whole franchise and the others are there because they are constant, every player has a lapras (that's why they later changed espeon: red has 5 options for the celadon mansion eevee), and every player encounters at least one snorlax.

All this footage got e really hyped and I just now preordered X. Still need to get a 3ds however....

Looks like Sylveon compensates for a sucky ability with really good stats o_o Look at it take on a STAB rain boosted, life orb boosted Hydro Pump like it was nothing. It may look frail, but it can take hits and deal some good damage. Definitely got a spot on my team :D

Here's the thing, I don't think she has JUST a sucky ability, her DW ability might be a little broken. And I explain how here. It's speculation, but that second hit really looks like it does the same amount of damage as that crit. . .

Alright, not sure if anyone has seen this. But in this video, http://youtu.be/9VwRTKOOPj0?t=6m8s, the Helioptile is brought down to 3HP, then hit with another Sand tomb and is brought to 1HP. The Helioptile turns to the trainer and the text reads "Helioptile brings out the best of itself to show Yvonne what it can do!" Point being, it got a free Focus Band. Simply because the Pokemon "loved" the trainer. . . This makes me wonder, IF the Pokemon Amie Effects wifi battles, Sturdy will have no purpose, and neither will focus sash. Unless perhaps certain pokemon get certain perks. . .

what do you all think?

Yes now my electric minions can finally not die to OHKO's :3

I've noticed this in the demo videos.
When the Pokemon was brought down to a low amount of HP, it would say something like:
"___ is about to cry!"
Or something like that.

Maybe it is Amie, or maybe it's an ability.
Either way, this little feature just....agh, it really brings your Pokemon to life! It makes you wanna help them in any way possible! You don't wanna make them feel bad! I like this!
