(3) Victini Prerelease Promo, Shelmet Regionals Promos, Trio Badge Pin [10/19]

The ones they've been giving out from League lately aren't adhesive in the slightest. So I can only hope that they got wise to their failures and made the backs of these Unova ones adhesive.

I'm kinda sad also because I thought they'd be making badge pins, so I could stick them on my judge shirt with the other league pins I have. No such luck. ;;

You do know that the new badges ARE pins right?

Hmm, I woud've actually preferred adhesive patches. Tiny ones, at least. That way, I can decorate my 3DS with them.

The picture fooled me; this looks like a patch!
Now I need to know what size it is.

Easy way to find someone who didn't read the story or the title haha.

Pins are great. It's a nice step forward after the patches. The promos are ok I guess. Nonflip Victini is really surprising as a promo for the Prerelease, but I guess it actually fits since this is basically Victini's premiere set.

dmaster out.

oh I'm surprised to see Smack-Tini as the promo. Too bad the nearest prerelease is in Washington (or Canada?) :headbang I'm have to ebay the silly thing if I ever want to lay eyes on it.

PINS!!! {F}{F}{F}

Or who no longer cares about how much the TCG sucks now and just skims the articles.

In past seasons they had the design of the badge put on a pin - the Sinnoh league pins were just like that.
Yeah it'd be cool to have the pins in the actual shapes of the badges, but at least all the pins are the same size and shape. (I think.)

I actually saw the Trio badge at league yesterday; it was ALOT smaller than I thought it would be!

Would have preferred fliptini, but I'm still glad it isn't crappy like the old prerelease cards used to be.

Pre-release cards tend to be not-fully-evolved Pokémon. They're still incredibly popular with kids though, since they tend to pick Pokémon kids love. Or sometimes nostalgic fans if they choose something from an earlier generation.

I haven't been playing very long, but aren't PR cards almost always fully evolved? Gigalith, Darmanitan, (Blanking on TM's), Blastoise, Pichu...

Also, what kind of world do we live in where the "bad" version of a card has a 25% (50 with the other card you should be running it with) chance of doing 120 for one energy? #powercreepin'

^ lol

While I wouldn't call it a "bad" card b/c of it's tremendous attack power, I still wouldn't run it in a deck (unless it's a joke deck using both Victini's, super scoop up, max potion, and some other stuff...).

Is that how it is now? I decided to check what pre-release cards there have been, and it seems they moved on to mostly fully-evolved Pokémon early on in the 4th-generation.

I suppose I'm thinking of when I first went to pre-releases. The first was for Unseen Forces, which was Bayleef. The next pre-release cards after that were Metang, Tentacruel, Exeggutor, Ivysaur, Dragonair, and Cacturne. I never even noticed how they stepped things up later on.
