(4) Chandelure Red Collection, Nationals Medal, McDonalds, Redshark Tourney [5/28]

you could run chandelure-crobat

severe poison with crobat, next turn 0 retreat to switch with chandelure
place damage counters, dont forget your opponet is hit with 40 damage between turns, and then use mysterious light to confuse and burn the opponet.

great for bringing down tyranitar, though he does have resistance to psy. it is still hit with all those special conditions. this deck could bring down machamp, kingdra, and other crobat decks as well. the 0 retreat makes it easy to retreat crobat out of a bad situation.

just stock the deck with rare candy and pokemon communication to get them into play faster. and pokemon collector to stock your bench with them.

I definitely want to try out the Chandelure. As far as the RedShark tournament goes, I'll be helping assist it in any way I can. I did help with the planning of it.:p

Haven't eaten at McDonalds in years. Haven't had a happy meal in over a decade.. But the temptation of a Zoroark figure is strong. Very strong. Extremely strong. >__>

The McDonald's thing is interesting. Sounds pretty cool. I highly doubt it, but it would be AWESOME if the figures were like the one in the Victini Box. Then I'd buy AT LEAST 1 of each.

I don't care much about the Chandelure. It's art is good though.

Chandelure is a great card because of its high HP and stunning ability. You can place 3 damage counters every turn AND attack with something cheap and strong like Jumpluff or Cincinno. Combined with Warp Points (or the lovely up and coming Pokemon Catcher) and you have complete shutdown of most decks that don't heal a whole lot.

I love the Chandelure. It's really great in the HGSS-on, because Baby Pokemon will see a lot of play, especially Cleffa and Tyrogue (Yeah, I tried this one and it's pretty amazing for killing Cleffas). And now you can OHKO them without attacking AND also when they are sleeping, because the damage from Abilitys isn't prevented by Sweet sleeping face. I also think that it's attack is really good, because of the Special Conditions. Just Imagine, in best case (Yeah I know it will nearly never happen) you do 30 for ability + 50 for the attack + 20 for being burned + 30 for confusion + 20 for being burned ==> 150 without opponents attack before your next turn even starts. Yeah i know you will kill me now for this calculation, but all in all Chandelure IS a really amazing card.
(For it's retreat put in Dodrio UD, but more then just a 1-1)

Super pumped about the McDonalds thing. I love those kind of promotions. The figures looks pretty cool just by looking at the small picture of Zekrom and Reshiram on the happy meals website. I wonder if they talk or something or maybe they're just basic statues.

Oh, you place three damage counters, not move them. That does make Chandelure decent, and fun with Dodrio, Switch, SSU, and Junk Arm =3

The Maccas thing looks great...but I'm wondering if it'll be in Canada too? Sometimes we get other Pokemon events announced for the US/not Canada. Fingers crossed!

And holy beans I love that Chandelure. I want one. Or 3 or 4. ;D

I hope they don't talk. They're cool enough as it is. Great, now I need to get 5 Zekroms just to make myself happy. It's just so awesome.

D: Aw man, I'm too old to buy Happy Meals... Cool promotion nonetheless. The Reshiram and Zekrom figures look pretty neat.

Lucky for me, I work at McDonald's, so 50% off happy meals here I come now!

I see older people happy meals for themselves a lot.

I had LITERALLY just got back from getting a Big Mac at McDonald's and logging on PokeBeach to discover that you could get trading cards AND figurines through the Happy Meals.

FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU

You can usually buy the toys separate without having to pay for the food. It's normally close to the same price or cheaper but at least you don't have to eat everything/waste food. I'm excited that McDonald's is doing it this year. I do frequent going there over Burger King.

dmaster out.

You could just give the food to someone you know though. Or to some random kid on a street if that exists in the US

I know people that absolutely hate eating McDonald's food and they would always refuse it. Sometimes it's better if you just want to buy the toy to do it separately. :p

dmaster out.

Unless you came back from a time machine, you have nothing to be angry about. It begins June 17.

At McDonalds the toys are usually about $1.50 by themselves. No big deal if you don't want the food.

Thanks for pointing that out, K. Well, I feel stupid, how does everyone else feel? :D
As for Chandelure, meh. It's not great, but I could see it being included in some fun decks.
