So... Dragon Exalted... Does that mean whenever a Pokemon attacks alone it gets +1/+1 until the end of turn? :p

I have one word to describe the set name.

Bant.

Also this.

How fitting, it's from the set called eXodus.
These Magic: The Gathering references tickle me. :D

Lets see:
Packs look good. I'm looking forward to the release.
Eh, there's a few McDonald's toys I wouldn't mind having.
Yay, promo. I'm not terribly impressed.
As for the tins, jfkl;asdfjsdal;kfjsdhf; SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
I need a pair of Darkrai for my deck, and with the luck I have, there's little chance of me getting one. This is awesome!

I know that. Those are dumb people, IMO. Regular and golden Catcher do the exact same thing. They could be smart and use their money for new cards instead of shinier pieces of cardboard, but I'm not a super duper pro like everyone on these forums, now am I? =3

Did I say there was a difference between what golden catcher and normal catcher do? I'm just explaining that there will always be a big demand for the rarest version of a card. There are richer Pokemon players (gasp) and hence you shouldn't really criticise them for wanting to spend their money the way they want. They aren't "dumb" or not "sane".

Wouldn't you say that it is morally wrong to mock those who can't afford the most expensive cards? So why isn't it morally wrong to mock those who can?

You're paying for cardboard either way. Someone else would laugh at the idea that you would pay the price of a normal catcher let alone a golden catcher, after all, it's just cardboard...

Not my fault they're spending their money poorly. ;3

Wow, you can't even show enough respect to give a dignified response.
Choose your words wisely.
I show respect for people. But when they spend more money on cards that do literally the exact same thing as something that's much cheaper, then they're flailing their money around, and that's when I begin to disrespect. I don't care if they're 'dedicated' to the game or any excuse like that. I don't feel like they're spending their money wisely when they pay more for the same card. It's like walking into a dollar store and paying $7 for one item and telling the clerk to keep the change. It just doesn't make sense to me.
I'm done with this topic, as I can clearly not convince you that I am a respectful individual and that my opinions aren't completely meaningless. If you feel a need to continue to argue, then continue it through PM or profile comments. Don't want to spam the thread with needless banter.

I think dragons exalted is a horrible name. Dragon explosion would have been so much better

everyone explode now

My reaction to seeing this: O______O

Three best EX's coming out in tins? Yes please, I will gladly not pay 120 dollars for the two Darkrai I need next format. The only disadvantage of this is that it doesn't feel as awesome to pull something like Darkrai out of a pack, but the tins are too amazing for me to actually be upset about that.

Holos tend to float to the top of the deck, so there is reason to reverse a deck. Since once they cut, your holos are then on the bottom or middle. Meaning EX's, and other playable set holos. Making the deck all reverse makes distribution more even. In terms of golden catchers, if you have them, why not put them in the deck? Or, if that's your only catcher, trade it for 5 regular ones.

It's s a hobby, you spend what you can or what you want to. Spending $40 for a golden catcher vs 8 for a normal one is the same as spending 40 for a pretty playmat vs 8 for a blank one. It serves the same function, but one looks nicer. Using dice instead of the paper counters that come with a theme deck, using character sleeves instead of penny sleeves.. It's all the same, so to disrespect somebody for preferring the one that looks better to them is just as bad as the player who talks down to another for the opposite.

Saying you're better by saying you're smarter by not spending as much for the same thing.

Tl :dr - people like shiny things. Let them spend their money how they want, others don't have the means to get the shiny versions.

They will still be in high demand for nats and world's. the reasons to trade high for darkrai still exist: collection (since a real collector won't settle for tin promos. If they did, they would just wait for the world championship decks)

Many real collectors will have both the originals and the tin promos. ;)

now this is news! I'll just spend like $40 on 3 tins then get the promo's for like $7 each xD

the box promo is cool, but they should've done that awhile with mewtwo and darkrai... (not that it matters much now! xD)

Tins are good, and because of my luck (and not getting out of the house much lately), these tins should be of much help.
Flygon is cool, probably a promo for us.
I wish I knew that you could buy the toys seperately. Last year, I bought like two kid meals once or twice a week for lunch (but I never did get sick or anything).
Okay, that takes care of the third Rayquaza EX, so we need the third Giratina EX.

I dunno, I'm glad that I have a set Mewtwo, they will still be expensive these EXs will. The demand for set versions will go down, but not by much.

Depends on how many packs come in the tins. If 5, then they'll be 20 a pop for tins. Shiny emboar is still almost 20, and that has a set version, reverse version, and a tin promo as well. Plus it's less playable. So $20 /30 due to rarity and playability makes sense.

$20 would be more expensive than the price of the tin. how would that work?

like CarlosDuranJr said, the playability/rarity of the card(s) change the price, Darkrai for example may be in a tin, but the box pull rates don't change and he will probably be one of the best cards to have. (meaning there will still be a demand for set darkrai, and thus the price will remain higher, the actual promo's will only be worth like $7-$10)

I'm not that bothered about the mewtwo tins really, as he'll be less dominant as the dragons take precedent.

darkrai and rayquaza-EX tins will be beautiful, but also make that hydreigon deck from the japanese championships very affordable to play

as many predicted, we have another EX-set (following nEXt destinies and dark EXplorers). I'm glad my birthday's in august and...

FLYGON :D !!!

seriously, I love flygon. They've given it a fun little ability, something groudonEX can use. shame about the attack cost (and G/F aren't the most accessible energies, and 4 for 80 is pretty bad). I'm sure it will see some play, to try and stall someone out.

Yeah I can't wait to see where this next set will take the meta. I have a feeling it'll shake it up a little more the DEX did.

nah, the set in of itself wont shake us up too much. It's the set + the rotation that will wipe us off our feet...
