Wish everyone would stop bein' so butthurt about stupid old Krys. *Gets mauled* But seriously! :| I like this new cute girl like so much wai better it's makin' me cry. Look at her overalls (which are so random wtfff) and her big hat and big bow and pigtails! She's so adorable, it's such a face-brightener after Dawn's design. 8D
Love Sugimori art, I reckon. Gold is like the most uber adorable thing there is. And can anyone explain to me why it's annoying to have your Pokemon follow you around? I think it's totally endearing and sweet, and it's not like it impedes you or anything. >w> OH I CAN'T GO FAST BECAUSE MAI POKEMON IS TOO SLOW- No, they won't do that. But, perhaps I'm biased, Pokemon Yellow was my first game. Ever.
But either way, so happppppy for the new art makes me like, 50x more pumped up now. >W< ♥

I'd love to see my starter follow me around, but they should add in interaction, like when you go into the well and battle rocket, it should run away or someone should accidentally step on it.
I like how there's a hill leading down to the Slowpoke Well, and not stairs. It's awesome.
Remember all the guys who chose to play as the female protagonist in Diamond and Pearl, because the male protagonist had the weird hat. I have a feeling that it will be the other way around this time. xD
Why don't you think they will be following you around all of the time? Because every picture we have seen, has a pokemon following the character around. So either, your starter follows you around the whole game, or you can pick a different pokemon to follow you around. Looking at the picture of ilex forest, it seems as if there are no headbutt trees.
Perhaps they were removed?

Also, the picture of gold and cyndaquil standing in front of the house supposed to be Kurts, there really is no telling yet.
Some noticed bits:
-Looking at the picture, usually cement walkways are used in cities and dirt roads are used in town.
-There is a house below the one gold and cyndaquil are standing in front of is most certainly not a gym, just a regular house. It's much too small anyways.
-The house to the right doesn't really resemble that of a pokemon center, just a regular japanese-style house. This isn't 100% clear yet, though.
-The NPC looks as if it's a male, like the one standing near front of Kurts, but it is possible it could be a female, which means it may even be the burned tower.
So far all signs point to Ecruteak City rather than Azalea town... but there is a lot weighing it down, such as if it really is the burned tower it is much closer to the town than it used to be. Plus there's that pathway to the back which could easily be where the Apricorn tree was behind Kurts. The house at the bottom has no headbutt-able trees as it did in the original Ecruteak. Also, it seems as if there are some sort of flower in the trees. After doing some googling it seems like it could be Azalea's in the trees.
It's up in the air!

I don't think they will because They don't want to make it like Yellow verison. I am not saying it will not happen but I don't think it will except at certain times. I know they show it a lot but that does not neccessarily mean it will go that way. It might but I don't think so though.
