5th Gen Competitive Movesets and Metagame

Hydriegon@Expert Belt
Nature:Modest
Ability:Levitate
EVs:252 Sp.Attack,252 Speed,4 Defense
Moveset:
Surf
Earth Power
Dragon Pulse
Flamethrower

There's no strategy to this set.Dark Pulse is for STAB,Dragon Pulse is for STAB and to take care of other Dragons,Earth Power and Flamethrower for more type coverage, though Flamethrower takes out Bug and Ice-types.

*EDIT* Changed Dark Pulse to Surf.

Draco Meteor is so much better than Dragon Pulse. It hits much more harder.

And Dark Pulse and Earth Power can't be used on the same set due to breeding issues.

And always go with Timid on Hydreigon, in my opinion. You'll be outsped by so many things, its not even funny.

Zoroark @Focus Sash
Ability:Timid
EVs:255Sp.Attack 255 Speed
Moveset:
Nasty Plot
Flamethrower
Extrasensory
Dark Pulse

Just Nasty Plot for boost in special attack and dark pulse for STAB. Flamethrower for steel types. By the way, i want to make a team with this but i don't know what would go well with this. Any help or advice would be welcome

Extrasensory diesn't provide much coverage, there are better options for that set. U-Turn, Focus Blast, HP Fighting, and Sucker Punch are all superior to Extrasensory. You should also always use 252/252/4 spreads, if you use 255/255 you miss out an an extra stat point somewhere.

How about this Gliscor on my rain team. I know it is kind of gimmicky.

Gliscor @Leftovers
Trait: Sand Veil
Impish(-sp.atk,+def)
252HP/168def/88spe
-Taunt
-Roost
-Earthquake
-Aqua Tail

Although Aqua Tail is granted a boost thanks to Drizzle, you'll likely find yourself not using Aqua Tail to much effect because many of the Pokemon who typically switch in on Gliscor (Defensive water types and special attacking Dragons) are not going to be bothered by Water attacks. While Aqua Tail is a nice tool to use against opposing Gliscor and Air Balloon Excadrill, both of these Pokemon are neutered by the presense of Drizzle itself and so aren't the kind of things you'll be wanting to use a moveslot for.

Here's a Nidoqueen I made that I absolutely love. I have tested it.

This Nidoqueen is an ideal situational counter to sandstorm users. It can easily counter Tyranitars, Excadrills, Gliscors, Celebis, and if you're lucky, and the Hydro Pump misses, it can hurt Rotom-W. Unless it switches, it also makes a good counter to Landorus.
Nidoqueen @ Air Balloon
EVs: 106 HP, 152 DEF, 252 Spc. ATTK/152 ATTK, 152 Def, 200 ATTK
Nature: Modest/Rash
Ability: Sheer Force
Focus Blast/Superpower
Earth Power
Ice Beam
Hone Claws/Sludge Bomb
This Nidoqueen, with excellent type coverage, makes an idealistic counter to the infamous sandstorm build of Tyranitar, Gliscor, Excadrill, and Celebi/Rotom-W. Focus Blast, with Sheer Force and impressive base 120 power, can easily OHKO Tyranitar, especially with Stealth Rock. It also makes an excellent substitute for Earth Power in case the opponent's Excadrill has Air Balloon. Ice Beam obliterates Gliscor and badly hurts Celebi, and Focus Blast puts a fair dent in Rotom-W. The strategy is simple. Come in on an anticipated Earthquake. When the Excadrill uses Rock Slide to brake the Balloon, KO it with Focus Blast or Earth Power, depending on the Excadrill's item. Against Tyranitar, just KO it with Focus Blast, because all forms of Tyranitar except Scarfed and the very rare Dragon Dance variants are outsped. It is very imprortant that Focus Blast doesn't miss, so if you get the chance, use Hone Claws.

Other Options:
If you want to use Superpower, give Nidoking 152 ATTK over HP. With Stealth Rock, this allows Superpower to always OHKO Tyranitar, but the special attack loss from moving EVs hurts her chances at OHKOing certain threats. This also however lowers Nidoqueen's Special Defense, and without HP EVs, Hydro Pump will always OHKO. The only advantage is the accuracy of Superpower, so the fully special version is advised, not to mention that all three of its attacks gain Sheer Force.

Why Nidoqueen over Nidoking? Nidoking has higher special attack iirc and it gets sheer force and all of those moves. Sheer Force Nidoking is actually relatively common in UU. Also, it gets owned by Excadrill if your balloon pops, so it isn't really a counter for that.

Nidoking

lolwat, you just changed Pokemon completely. And Nidoking outclasses Nidoqueen for sure, with higher Speed and Sp. Atk. as well as better coverage with Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, and Earth Power.

Nidoqueen does make for a Bulkier Toxic Spikes lead if played correctly, however. And, just some news; Smogon has their B/W competitive Dex up, so if you want to see some standard sets for popular 5th Gen Pokemon, that's the place to go.

But even then it's outclassed by Tentacreul, Roserade, and Forry. There's really nothing Nidoqueen can do that will not be outclassed in every way, shape, and form.

Regardless, its totally inferior to Nidoking in OU and UU if you go offensive, like in patrick's set.

Well, there is Toxic Spikes + Dragon Tail. It also resists Rock and Fighting, so it could work as a Terrakion check, at least in theory. I suppose the bulky, Toxic Spiker Shuffler is Nidoqueen's niche in OU; a very specific niche.

Nidoqueen's niche isn't really that good, considering Dragonite is a way better shuffler, can cripple with TWave, has recovery, and is definitely more bulky.

I might as well post a set for a Gigalith I've been trying to work on.

Gigalith: Air Balloon/Lum Berry
Nature: Brave/Relaxed
Ability: Sturdy
EV's: 252 ATK/252 DEF/4 Sp. Def
IV's: 0 Spd rest 31
Attacks:
~Curse
~Earthquake
~Heavy Slam
~Smack Down/Stone Edge

Since I have yet to find a purpose for it I have no clue what it would be good for besides a Gyro Ball buffer.

You know what's a good Gyro Ball buffer? Stuff not weak to Steel. Try this instead:

Gigalith @ Leftovers
Careful nature, 252 HP / 252 SpDef / 4 Atk
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Stone Edge / Smack Down

To be used with sand only

I found that this has been effective with the massive defense and attack. But I am still working on it.

Curse is already augmenting your Defense. Maximizing Special Defense lets you take special hits better, and the fact that he's pure Rock means he won't get completely massacred by Water/Grass.

Not that Rock is a great defensive type anyway, but still.
