Okay guys.... I think I finally broke down into 5th gen goodness.... I... Love... the... DREAM WORLD!!! At 1st i didn't like it at all. But now i'm digging it.
Also, I think I'm slowy but surely going to chatch 'em all again. This time, on Pokemon White. Thus, I must suck it up and play threw Isshu....

That's kind of mean, I hate Gen 5 and so do a bunch of other people yet we are hardcore Pokemon fans. What does that tell you? B/W are not as good as the other gens. Extremely linear game, horrible in-game pokemon, very easy, very short, overall its just not up to the standards Pokemon has set with its other games. The only reason I got B/W is to be able to battle my friends who have it, otherwse I probably would not have gotten it because it is flat out not as good as Pokemon's other games (well, besides Ranger, but everything is better than that). Liking Pokemon may inspire a sense of loyalty to buy new games, but that doesn't prevent us from thinking they suck.

Oh and I guess the high scores it got were just rubbish right? The whole "I hate this game so much, but I'm going still going to buy because everyone else is buying it" was pretty hilarious.

But anyway, I absolutely loved the storyline in these games, I personally think they it's the best along side Platinum's. And It is original. You can say Garbodor is a horrible designed pokemon, but it is a horrible designed original pokemon. (By the way, I actually like Garbodor and I really don't get why people hate it so much.)

In the end I liked them, there are a few things I didn't like the cgear and it being so straightforward, but I'm playing my 3rd run through it so yeah.

One minor correction: Garbodor is a copy of Muk. Pretty much all of the non-legendaries in Unova are copies of a Kanto Pokemon, and those that aren't are copies of a Pokemon from a different generation. That's another reason I dislike the games, it really began to feel like Pokemon had run out of ideas and was recycling old ones. Facing an elemental monkey every other battle was also really boring.

I'm not sure Haxorus is a copy of an original pokemon, maybe Dragonite, but i'm sure Hydreigon will fill the Dragonite position.

More on topic, Dark Void is sorta ..err... totally right. I can run down a list real quick:

Seismitoad = Poliwrath
Unfezant = Pidgeot
Leavanny = either Beedrill or Butterfree

... need I go on any further? If they fix this problem with Gen. 6, than they might be alright. Other than that, I think the pokemon creativity earns 0%, story = 97%, and Difficulty = 3%.

I'll give the Pokemon designs a little credit, I mean, how can they mess up that badly on purpose.

But seriously, if it were to be given some good points, not all designs were as bad as the copies (Kyurem looked unique, Zoroark looked cool despite being ripped off Sneasel). Nor was this the only problem; post game was terrible. The remakes got this down to a tee. FR/LG/HG/SS had masses to do after the main game and it was fun. D/P/P was kind of a drag after the main game and B/W offered virtually nothing.

More original Pokemon designs would be nice. Pokemon that make you guess what there type and movesets are to make a safe a logical advance. Making you think like the old games. Instead of now you see red and use a water move.
Stuff to do and less linear story is a must. B/W did the exact opposite and that's what ruined it in my opinion. (Your a young adventurer, exporing a never before seen world with beasts you can catch and train, Pokemon is built upon these points.)
A hard hitting and more serious plot. B/W did this and that's what is carrying it.

Post game adventures. If we all want this, why is it so bad to make an MMO alternative at least? I just can't get my head around paying a small price every month and every expansion offering new pokemon and regions. It's the only thing in my mind that is 100% perfect. Heck, Dream World is half way there.

If they manage to meet those points, except the latter, then gen VI will indeed match up to the better games, which vary from person to person.

What I want is the ability to have new game+, and all the trainers are revamped and stronger. You keep all TMs, Items, and Medicines, along with Pokemon, but HMs will be taken and any Pokemon that knows HM moves will have those moves forgotten. Key Items would also be erased. It could create a bunch of new themes, like Infinite Nuzlocke, seeing how many games you can complete before you fail. Also, you would be able to catch the non-event legends again. Hopefully they do something to make everything better during Gen. 6. More on Pokemon design, they could take ideas used for Fakemon. I've seen Fakemon that would make my day if I had that in a real game. Not naming anything specific, however.

I just think the games tried to re-vamp the series and I don't think a lot of fans liked it. (To much of a change.) I just hope that the next games will be better.

I love how there are so many more competitively viable Grass Pokémon now. The one type left to address is Poison. And maybe Ice.

I actually have quite enjoyed 5th gen so far. :D I love most of the new Pokemon, although some aren't so great (I'm looking at you, Watchog). The storyline of Black and White was engaging and much unlike previous storylines, N is an amazing character with a really heartrending backstory, the list goes on. I'm looking forward to seeing what Nintendo can do in Grey and the RS remakes! Maybe in Grey, they could add in a couple of evolution families from previous regions to the regional dex (though this would make it even harder to complete, I can easily imagine, say, Spearow and maybe Combee's evolution family being found pre-National Dex in Unova, along with maybe Pikachu and Meowth due to the anime).
