Chatot for Brazil. It has the country's flag colours!
Noibat for Romania because the country is unfortunately well known because of "Dracula".
Rapidash for Mongolia because Genghis Khan's army conquered regions and established an empire like fire sweeping through fields and most importan, horses are very important for the Mongolians.

Empoleon for France, because Empoleon is based on Napoleon Bonaparte.
Donphan for Thailand, as the elephant is their national animal.
Arcanine for India, as Arcanine looks like a tiger, and tigers are the national animal of India.
Ursaring for Russia for Russia's space advances (since it has the symbol of a full moon on it.)
as for my country, the United States of America, I would say
Braivary, since the animal it is based off of has been the symbol
of America since 1782.

Might want to do your reasearch there buddy.
Egypt: Fennekin, Lucario, any Egyptian themed pokemon really.
Other saharan pokemon: really any desert dwelling pokemon that is based on an african animal.
Other African nations: Luxray line, Pyroar line, Liepard (as a proxy for cheetahs and leopards), Girafarig, Rhyhorn, Slaking (Gorilla), Krookodile line, Hippowdon line (need I really say why?), Chimchar (Infernape and Monferno have tails so . . .), Delibird, and the Empoleon line (since we do not have more than two penguins and these two can represent any other penguin species for places that have them for now) because the irony of penguins is that people think that penguins only live in Antarctica when a good portion of them don't even live there in fact the Galapagos penguin is the only species found north of the equator.
United States: Braviary and Xatu and need I say why? Luxray and Pyroar due to Panthera Leo Atrox which is extinct. Zapdos since it is an electric type bird . . . Thunderbird anyone?
Canada and other nations in the arctic circle area (just about any ice type pokemon)
European nations: Anything that fits and even Panthera Leo Fossillis
Asiatic nations: Shinx and Pyroar due to Panthera Leo Persica, The Arcanine line (kind of obvious), Samurott, Greninja, Raikou (yes I know it looks like a smilodon but also has some tiger traits so . . . yeah . . . but anything that can fit does here
For Japan in particular: Tyrannitar, Volcarona, Nidoking, Rayquaza (Manda), Scizor/Scyther (close as I can get to Gigan), Aerodactyl, and Hydreigon, the Arcanine line, and possibly some others XD (For anyone who does not get the joke here please do not ask about it until you do your research about it
Mexico: Maractus, Ludicolo (which I think is meant to be a humorous jab at Latin American culture since Japan tends to make humorous jabs towards other cultures at times anyway), and Hawlucha, really these three could fit for most Latin American nations.
South American nations: Raikou (smilodon), the Amaura line (Gee, take a guess where Amargasaurus was discovered), Liepard as a substitute for the Jaguar, Mew because well . . . the Mew fossil found in the Amazon rain forest, just about every bug type one can imagine, and Carvannah (take a guess why), and Sharpedo (they seem to be like Bull Sharks since they can easily survive in freshwater bodies of water)
Australia: Sharpedo and Garchomp (shark based and there tend to be a lot of sharks down by Australia, Feraligatr (Saltwater crocodiles), and Kangaskhan.
Lets just say that there are multiple pokemon that can fit in multiple areas.

Oh I have this for Ireland: Xerneas because Megaloceros is commonly known as the Irish Elk and Xerneas seems to be partially based on the Megaloceros (as well as multiple mythological deer which could have somehow been inspired by Megaloceros)

The national animal of Scotland is a unicorn (No joke!). Scotland has to have Rapidash.

Charizard for the Welsh dragon. Not a dragon type but looks like one and would continue the theme of fire types for the UK countries I've went with.
I don't know what Northern Ireland's animal is... do they have one? :help:

Since by the end of the month I'll be unreacheable for a while, I've decided to antecipate the voting phase. It'll last until the last day of November.
You can only vote on one Pokémon for each country! If two countries get the same Pokémon, there will be a second voting for those.
Countries with an asterisk (*) have only one Pokémon but one that is already proposed for another country so it'll only be decided in the end. If you think that that Pokémon fits that country, vote for it and/or chose other for the country that has the same Pokémon but other options.

I think that Sweeden should have klingklang, as many video game companies are sweedish (like Mojang and Dice).
I also think that Switzerland should have Meowth as both are associated with money.
Armenia is a country I don't see listed, I think Victini would be good as both have been around for a long time. Also, food is a big part of Armenian Culture and Victini loves food (as shown in the Black/White movies)
Guyana: Mew as it is said to be found in the forests of Guyana.

I know Braviary is going to win for USA, but just to throw it out there, Ditto would be cool too. It's kind kf like the less obvious choice. See, Ditto breeds with any egg group or gender and the US has people from all over the world.

No offense, but all of those options for the UK are awful .__.
I'm British, and as a general consensus there are 5 things a lot of us are randomly proud of here (personally I think they are all incredibly dumb and some blatantly untrue, but this is from the British public's perspective):
1) Rain
2) Royal Family (I hate the Royal Family, just putting it out there)
3) Beautiful Countryside
4) Business and Commerce
5) The NHS (<--- Actually the NHS is great)
Because of this, I think that Wormadam-Grass is actually a very good choice here. It is a regal Pokémon, encompassing the beautiful countryside well.
I also think that Bronzong is a great second choice. It is based on the something God of rain (ahh I've forgotten which one. So disappointed in myself right now ;_;. What about Lampent? Britain has a rich history, and there are like 50 or 60 castles around the UK. The Tower of London is a huge tourist attraction here, and Lampent is a great Pokémon to represent this, as it is a Ghost-Type (and there is a LOT of dirty death in Britain's history). Furthermore, I chose Lampent over Chandelure because in some of its Pokédex entries it talks about Lampent going into hospitals and stealing life energy from patients... And Britain has figures like Florence Nightingale, huge figures in medicine, and we have the NHS.
These would be my top 3 choices, but since we can only vote for 2, I would have to go with Lampent and Wormadam-Grass for the OP, and for the actual vote I would have to say Lampent
Psychedelic Breakfast talked about sheep being iconic for Scotland, but he got the wrong country! That's actually Wales, so I'm going to put my vote for Flaaffy in Wales. I also think that Druddigon fits Wales well, because... I mean, it's basically on the flag. Furthermore, it fits the style of architecture that most Welsh castles have better than those in Britain or Scotland.
My vote, however, goes to Druddigon.
Scotland is actually well known for its huge mountains, and the main reason anyone goes there is to hike. It also has a LOT of crime, but because there is so much crime it's often joked about. For the latter, I think that Scraggy is a good representative, and for the mountains I actually think that Articuno fits in there well. The cold is often complained about in Scotland, and Articuno has many PokéDex entries detailing how it helps hikers and travelers high up on mountains.
I've gotta go for Articuno here.
Anyway, since I've been around Britain, Wales and Scotland a lot I just wanted to put my votes here!
No offense, but all of those options for the UK are awful .__.
I'm British, and as a general consensus there are 5 things a lot of us are randomly proud of here (personally I think they are all incredibly dumb and some blatantly untrue, but this is from the British public's perspective):
1) Rain
2) Royal Family (I hate the Royal Family, just putting it out there)
3) Beautiful Countryside
4) Business and Commerce
5) The NHS (<--- Actually the NHS is great
)Because of this, I think that Wormadam-Grass is actually a very good choice here. It is a regal Pokémon, encompassing the beautiful countryside well.
I also think that Bronzong is a great second choice. It is based on the something God of rain (ahh I've forgotten which one. So disappointed in myself right now ;_;.
