I think most people have voted already. Would anybody object to me trimming down the voting period to one week (so it ends on 5th July)? That way we can start the next contest sooner.

Great idea. I want to start the next contest ASAP...

Having said that, there is no reason why we cant start the next round before voting finishes.

A week should be plenty.

Also Scampy, here's an idea for the next one - let us PM you the stories and you put them up with only their titles. That way, any favoritism is stopped like that and people will really go for the quality of the entries. Not saying theres anything wrong now, its just what I feel would be more fair.

I agree with Lou here. It is a fair plan because I can't help but think people are voting for me because it was a story written by me, and not because it stands a cut above the rest.

That said, it is possible that there are some who do honestly like my story better than everyone else's, but in the interest of having the best story voted for, without names being attached, Lou's idea is better.

I agree. I know I voted for PMJ because I liked his story, but I know some might just go "omgz! pmj story! vote! vote! vote!". It would make it more fair.
