Anime Recommendations?

RE: Anime Recommendations

Death Note is what also got me into anime. When you finish that, do exactly what your friend said and watch Code Geass, it's just as good as Death Note. When you finish that you can watch any of these anime I'm about to mention, and you'll most likely enjoy them, trust me.

-Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Amazing anime, I actually have it above Death Note, but that's just my opinon)
-Elfen Lied (There's a lot of gore, but the story is actually really, really good and in depth, but it's only 13 episodes)
-Steins;Gate (This is a new anime that just recently finished airing, if you liked DN, you'll probably like this)
-Higurashi (Also a lot of gore in this, but it has that thriller/mystery element like DN had, so you might like this)

There's much more, but I think you should start with these. Check them out at least.

RE: Anime Recommendations

D.Gray-man was alright. I honestly would recommend the manga over the anime, however.

Ao no Exorcist is also pretty decent as well. I've enjoyed both manga and anime renditions of the story, however the anime actually splits and follows its own story after a certain point. So if you don't mind the story change, it's not a bad watch.

RE: Anime Recommendations

CLANAAD is very good :3 I can't even find words to discribe it without doing it justice. Maybe odd-ball, funny, love, finding yourself anime. Nope I don't even think that does any good. It has you laughing so hard one moment xD then the next your cry T^T Very good, even my dad liked it :D

RE: Anime Recommendations

I personally recommend Higurashi no naku koro ni (When They Cry)[manga and anime, but there is also the visual novel, which is the best of the three], Umineko no naku koro ni (When The Seagulls Cry)[same as Higurashi], and Gamble Fish [manga]. All of these are NSFW, unfortunately. Higurashi makes you think a lot, trying to make a theory as to what is happening, Umineko is a great anime about fantasy vs. mystery. Gamble Fish (surprised it wasn't mentioned <.< ) is a great manga about a young man using amazing techniques and clever strategies to win things that are almost impossible odds. Elfin Lied is also good, as is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

RE: Anime Recommendations

Alright, right off the bat, Hajime no Ippo matches your bill. The most character development I've ever seen in an anime, no fillers that I remember, and possibly the best anime character of all time in Takamura, this is a MUST WATCH. Also, it's hilarious, and has THE most intense action I've seen so far (it makes you want to yell like Tarzan and break the nearest lamp, I'm not joking).

Initial D is also incredible. It's an anime about racing that gets the blood boilin'. There's definetly character development, and edge-of-your-seat suspenseful races, soo... watch that NAO.

I don't have time, so check my bio for more. There's some anime gems listed that haven't been recommended yet.
