Session #23:
Hard Travels
I really need to widen my vocabulary...
I am stopped in my tracks as I see Catchy walk down the narrow passage, one hand in his pocket, one hand batting his hair up.
His smugness only contributed to the silence that followed.
We both had all 8 badges. We both had powerful Pokemon. Without saying a word we do what trainers do best.
VS
Hydra opened with Ice Beam and took down the Pidgeot without being dragged down to half health. Rhyhorn went down even easier.
It was a risk putting Sucker against an Exeggcute, certainly something I won't be doing in the next fight, but it wasn't too bad.
Alakazam was to be sent out next and Shnore was waiting for him. Amnesia twice to be safe, fortunately he used recover twice, and Body Slam did the rest.
And by "Body Slam did the rest" I mean, it took out Charizard and Gyarados too. He survived with 56 HP and the battle was over.
Claiming that I could never be a Pokemon master, he walks off laughing.
Before I knew it I was showing my badges to the gate keepers and staring at the entrance to Victory Road.
Here it is.
The final test.
I take a deep breath and enter.
The maze was full of trainers. Powerfull trainers. The kind who could have put my entire team down if they had the chance. The cave was filled with puzzles. The kind where only the strongest Pokemon could assist. However, it was rewarding. TM's and items alike littered the ground.
As I walked down the dark pathway, I noticed a light to my left. It was fire!
The fire dimmed when I looked towards it and I thought it might just be a Pokemon or two trainers fighting, so I continued on. I'll investigate later.
Most of my PP for moves ran out. Ice Beam, Body Slam, Leech Life. My Pokemon were at their limit. That's when I saw the exit. I crawled to the sunlight and finally. I was here. The Indigo Plateau.
My Pokemon were under leveled. VERY under leveled. Hydra, my strongest, was lv.46. Shnore and Sucker being lv.43. So I grinded and grinded and grinded. If they think I am gonna face the Elite 4 without a Dragonite they are sorely mistaken.
I boxed Hitmonchan, Nessy and Droopy. I fought the Elite 4 with 3 Pokemon before and they were lower level. I also withdrew all my PP restoring items and X Accuracies.
Let's try not to get frozen.

I always considered this to be the hardest rival battle
