Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Cover Art added: 9/5/2012)

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Skoyxil and Miroc: 4/22/12)

I feel like I could've done a little better with Skoyxil's design, since he's supposed to be a mechanized squid. Still thanks! :)

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Skoyxil and Miroc: 4/22/12)

Miroc could have a bit of ice rock on its wings, and it could be a little vicious-looking.

Nevertheless, your drawing style is unique. Don't give up.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Skoyxil and Miroc: 4/22/12)

I had a few different ideas for Miroc, such as possible form changes depending on its current status condition and/or weather conditions. Trait for trait, it's supposed to be a Rock and Flying type, but I may change that if I do decided to do the ice-wings like you suggested, Lucky.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Skoyxil and Miroc: 4/22/12)

It's been several months since I've had any new artwork worth sharing. Since then, I've finally found the time to finish a new picture for one of my favorite Fakemon, Beyi-geyi. I probably should've done the neck design better, given that the metallic plates that are supposed to comprise it are misshapened; I was trying to incorporate a crisscrossing/curved diamond pattern, which for some reason didn't turn out as well as it did on her wings (Her brother Leyi-geyi, which I'm planning on doing next, has a similar pattern but with inverted coloring. Hopefully I can do better with his drawing than I did with this... Really, it's something that's easier to draw by hand than on computer, especially since my only "good" drawing program is Gimp and I'm not about to download/purchase anything else... >_<).

Link is broken. :/

Works for me.

I do like the design of Beyi-geyi, Incinermyn; however, the neck is a bit too long in my opinion and I would also work on the size of the plates. What I do like about the wings is the pattern and the head fits in nicely with the overall design.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Beyi-geyi added: 7/23/2012)

Really good. I like how it has such a long neck that's practically the same length as its wings. :p

I wonder if I could see Beyi-geyi's head from a different angle...

Wait, it bears a similarity to Latios and Latias...

Ok, got the pic working on my computer now. I really like the design on Beyi-geyi! Looks a bit like Latios though,

Latias, specifically. She's supposed to be an "ascended" evolved form of her predecessor.

That's some creativity right there...

I'd suggest shrinking the neck, as Lati@s has a small next in general. Other than that just loving the artwork.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Beyi-geyi added: 7/23/2012)

Mmm... Something I should note is that her neck is intentionally longer for the reason that she's supposed to be shaped more like an arrow than a jet like Latias is. But I may scale it down if it looks that bad. In any case, I've got a snapshot of a new design for Miroc, though I can't vouge for the image quality since I took it on my 3DS. I'll be coming back with a scanned version at some point in the future, but this will have to do for reference for now.

Love Miroc's new design.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (New Miroc picture added: 7/25/2012)

I wanted to go with a more raptor/bird-of-prey form instead of a songbird one like I had.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (New Miroc picture added: 7/25/2012)

It's great. I wondered if the claws' talons were legs. And I have to note the lines in Miroc's wings.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (New Miroc picture added: 7/25/2012)

Miroc's wings and main body are made of stone, while its talons, neck, and head are supposed to be mechanized parts. It's supposed to be an ancient machine in the form of a bird of prey, if that explains anything.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (New Miroc picture added: 7/25/2012)

Honestly that's truly amazing. I envy you and you're creativity with some of these guys (Me I make and Eel pokemon and TPC takes my idea :p)

I'd also suggest sliding the legs out just a titch from each other. It'll give it a much better look. :) Keep up the good work :D

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (New Miroc picture added: 7/25/2012)

I am quite impressed with the overall design of Miroc. The only thing I would work on would be the angle of the feet. They are angled quite sharply, unless it has the ability to do that.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Fwan's picture added: 8/1/2012)

Alright, new revised updated featuring my finished Fwan picture and a (hopefully) clearer image of Miroc.

FwanB-2.jpg

Data: Fwan is a Grass and Ghost dual-type Pokemon found in one of Ronac's famed art museums in Deltsed City. Unbeknownst to the curators, the painting it inhabits (aptly named "Swablu y Fwan") has long since been possessed by the spirit of the young artist who created it. Every night, the Pokemon awakens to create mischief throughout the museum, by repositioning artworks close it and moving statues with its spiritual power. Trying to fight it may be a fatal mistake, however, as many of its critics have never been seen or heard from again.

Photo024.jpg

Data: Hidden away for generations, Miroc was formerly a dormant machine created by the Meradai through a mixture of their relatively advanced engineering skills and supposed sorcery. However, to keep this creature alive, it needed a mystical power source that inevitably ran dry. Eons later, an archeologist stumbled upon the mechanized bird and a new power supply for it. Shortly afterwards, the avian vanished into the sky never to be seen again.

Note, I'm just adding that as slight info off the top of my head. This is an art thread, not a fakedex. However, since these are my own characters, I feel that it would help to give some sort of insight about their backgrounds.

My next project may be a redone picture of my Fakemon Temptail. I may also be doing a few others like it before summer ends, so stay tuned.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (New pictures added: 8/6/2012)

I'm loving Miroc, just absolutely loving it. Fwan seems more of a song bird to me I guess, but I can see what you're doing there. I'm loving them, keep them coming.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (New pictures added: 8/6/2012)

Super, Mega, Turbo, Heavy-duty, Overexaggerated, and (Down-right Unnecessary) Ultra Bump on the way! All joking aside, I spent a little extra time this weekend finishing up the Temptail picture that I said was going to have ready...and here it is...

Temptail3-1.jpg

Alright, I'll be honest... The wingtips are all off to me, in terms of not actually having the exact same pattern like they're supposed to. Also, the tail feathers look a little "squared" to me (but that can't be helped since this was digitally drawn). I want to follow up a picture that [member]Unique Username[/member] drew based on this fakemon's fully evolved form, Destail. I originally intended to give the feathers a fluffier appearance, but didn't have the patience to go into that fine of detail (despite working down to the pixel to color in everything). Also, drawing this picture gave me some insight as to how I can improve on other designs as well.

In any case, this picture is a drastic improvement over its predecessor (check below). Hopefully, Destail's picture will turn out a lot better by the time I get around to redrawing it. Next up is Weasinge, so stay tuned.
