Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Cover Art added: 9/5/2012)

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (New pictures added: 8/6/2012)

Another minor update. I say that because I've got another picture, but it's basically just a modified version of the previous one (Temptail). This time I decided to go through and try to draw the female version, which doesn't evolve.

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Weasinge Drawing added: 8/19/2012)

New update! I finally finished my new Weasinge. The image may be kind of large/long, so I'm just linking it. I didn't think it'd turn out even half this good since I had a hard time making the fur's color-change blend. In any case, it's a lot better than the original, by far.

Very nice Weasinge, Apollo! Does it have just one claw per paw, or is it three?

Try using more colors- for example, like a background. I think it'd look cool. *coughGIMPcough*

Also, great job on all the recent works. Especially Miroc, Temptail, and Weasinge. :)

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Weasinge Drawing added: 8/19/2012)

Three. I just have a hard time drawing from different angles. Also, I don't like backgrounds in reference pics. They ruin how the character looks, and make it harder to use text for information about the character.

I have a small update for this today. I found the time yesterday to do a quick redrawing of a sketch I've made time and again, Otulp's Brandmark. I even took a little extra time out this morning to modify it so that it included his eyes and then redo that as a banner for Feral Twilight. Comments, criticisms, and critiques are all welcome on these, since they're a lot different from the other pics I'd been sharing thus far.

Great banner; but you might want to create something more original than a footprint with an eye in it. For example, like something uneven and odd.

...oh, darn. I can't see what's in the spoiler with the cursemark. >_<

RE: Apollo's Non-Fakedex Artwork (Otulp's Symbol Drawings added: 8/22/2012)

I removed the one picture's spoiler tags. I don't know what happened with them, but it should show now. I have intricate designs using this symbol, but I wanted to get practice with this version first.

New week, new updates! I'm not sure how much longer I'll keep going at these before I just let this thread die again, but in the meantime, I intend to keep it as active as I can, even with relatively simplistic artworks like these.

These two are basically the symbols that represent Otulp's Sisters, Arachana (aka, Corros) and Vaspudem. Arachana is a spider-woman said to embody all creature's darkest desires (namely, lust, envy, vanity, and greed), while Vaspudem is a massive cobra-like serpent said to embody intense feelings of rage and hatred.

Edit: My apologies. I'm not sure what's wrong, but spoiler tags don't seem to work with these, hence why I posted them as full images instead.

Those eyes are gonna give me nightmares :p

You should try to clean up your backgrounds. the Purple doesn't blend well, I'd suggest you use white. The other one looks fine.

Arachana's symbol is supposed to stick out, though. That was the whole point of using contrasting colors like purple and lime-green, aside from them being symbolic of the character herself.

oh... *facepalm* Well they are looking good then :)

Mmm, don't think that I don't appreciate the input. I'm just aware of some of the stuff that people may think is wrong with these pics, when they were actually drawn that way intentionally to make them stand out more.

I love seeing bright colors in art, it helps you stand out as a artist! The lime green and purple is so cool(anything with lime green is good with me!) Keep up the good work:)

Thanks. I prefer using contrasting colors to make my artwork stick out more.

Minor updates that I hope to actually put into use very soon. I created cover art for my stories Feral Twilight and Biohazard during my time out at camp. It's nothing super-fancy, but it did take me a little while to actually get them right, especially Biohazard's since I did it with such dark colors...
