That's okay, I just kind of expect more from you, ya know?
;)

Anyways, I posted this on facebook and everything, so you know, I CANT WAIT!

It actually doesn't say katara there on the linked page. Sorry :(
But I'm quite sure it's also katara's child >_>

If you wikipedia The Legend of Korra, it does say Tenzin is the son of Avatar Aang and Katara.

Actually, it is a sequel. Try reading the press release.

I read it. I couldn't find where they flat out said it was a sequel.
Even if it's 70 years after the show, doesn't mean its a sequel.
If it actually says it's a sequel, tell me where to look in the press release.

ya it does. it takes place after the original series in the same universe and last time i checked, that means sequel. anyway couldnt stop laughing at the idea of ghetto igloos but avatar could really pull that off. also its confirmed that tenzins mother is katara and for all you doubters have faith in the avatar. what if korra is sokkas daughter? thatd be cool to me.

To get the discussion rolling, you can watch the first two episodes of the series here. Click on the picture in the middle at the bottom of the page, and the video will play.

For those who are familiar with the original series, you should know what to expect from this. Intense action, spectacular animation, great voice work, and plenty of humor are all displayed here. Despite having the same premise as The Last Airbender (main character trying to master bending), the show manages to separate itself from the original and create its own series, while still retaining some of the elements that made the first series great. And for those who aren't familiar with the original series, the show is a follow-up to the widely popular Nickelodeon series, Avatar: The Last Airbender that ran from 2005-2008. And you new folks should totally watch the old series too.

Basic overview of the series for those who want to know:
The series focuses on Korra, a teenage girl from the Southern Water Tribe and the current incarnation of the Avatar, who, according to the president of Nickelodeon, will be "hotheaded, independent, and ready to take on the world". She has already mastered Water, Earth, and Fire, but has yet to master Air. The character was partly inspired by Avatar Kyoshi of the original series, who the creators say was well-liked among fans. To avoid repetition of Aang's adventures, the show is set in a single place, called Republic City, a metropolis inhabited by benders and non-benders of all nations and founded by Aang and Zuko after the 100-year world war of the original series. The city's police are Metalbenders (a subset of Earthbenders), taught their art by Toph Bei Fong of the original series, and led by her daughter. The city's most popular sport is pro-bending, which sets teams of benders against each other. The conflict of the first season centers upon a group of anti-benders, called the Equalists, who use chi-blocking to subdue their enemies. In the show, Korra learns Airbending from Tenzin, youngest child of Aang and Katara, and must contend with an anti-bender revolution in Republic City.

If you want to have the full TV-experience, you can watch actual premiere on April 14 on Nickelodeon.

I have the same problem because I live in the UK.

just google 'watch korra online' to find a non-US friendly version of the episodes or use a VPN/proxy site to pick up an american IP and you should get through to korra nation direct.

I've been following the series for a while now on /co/

And I live in Canada, maybe Korra doesn't like the commonwealth.

Thank you for helping me.

RE: The Legend of Korra

Watched the first two episodes of The Legend of Korra on Nick and I was actually very happy with the episodes. It's funny and has tons of action. Sadly, I won't be able to see the series premiere on Nick, so hopefully it will be available online for viewing.
