Effective 9/1/09, cards from foreign country is banned. English cards are the only exception to the rule.

For US, this means we can only use English cards.

Discuss the ramification of this decision.

Sorry Water Pokemon Master for breaking this news.

I hate this change. It's just another way for them to make money, that's all. God I hate cheapskates...

I absolutely hate this change. I would prefer if they would put a limit on how many foreign cards you can use rather than outright banning them.
for example: 2-4 per deck sounds reasonable.

This is cr@p. I've NEVER come across with a deck who's foreign language cards are a problem.

Ugh, no more Japanese cards for me. =(

Let me guess. The next change they'll make is move the pack size down to 9, bump the price up to $4.50, and then include 1 rare, 2 uncommons, 5 commons, and a RH common (never a rare).

This new ruling angers me....though I don't think it's quite all for money, though.

Jesus, that's bull. Foreign language cards are complicated? Translations are your friend. But NO, they only ADD to complications as you epically struggle to trade off your Japanese cards that are supposed to be in the format but can't even be used for their English counterparts.

I sense a huge decrease in Japanese booster box sales soon...

This makes little sense. This rule basically means that someone from France has to change a lot of his or her cards when he or she wants to play in Germany and vica versa, even when both tournaments might not even be that far away from each other...

What happened to these tournaments being international events? ._.

Also, German's like an official language in Belgium, what's up with it not being on the list?

And then I'm not even talking about those people who've spent a small fortune buying cards from Japan...

I also fail to see how a card dex scan or a copy of the card in the local language is the source of any problems, other than possibly lengthening deck check by, what, a second?

I'm totally fine with it.

This means less weeaboos around here trying to make an all Japanese deck JUST because it is Japanese.

Meh. At least we have until september. I'm still gonna get a couple of those 5 dollar promo packs with the TSD's in them.

I think they are only doing this to deter people from buying Japanese booster boxes before the cards come out here in the US.

Think about it. The main reason for this, is this:

Japanese booster boxes are cheaper than those in the USA, that, and they have better set rarities. Someone from the USA could just buy one of these Jap. BB, and they would get better cards for less than if they had bought local. So, along comes greedy PUSA. And now, we must spend more money.

Come on, what is this people, Yu-Gi-Oh?

Ugh, now I'm stuck with a Jpn Dialga G X -_- Way to go POP. I can't even imagine how those people who bought Jpn boxes feel.

This will undoubtedly make gameplay go a lot smoother for those who don't know what a card does and no longer have to keep looking at a copy of it.

I said I'd sign it, so I'll sign it.

*pulls out a ridiculously large pen*

HAHAHAHAAAA -looks at other petitions-
