This is a thread for people to discuss and strategize Battle Subway teams. This is for people who need help, have experience , or just want to get a farther win streak with the the Battle Subway.

Rules:

1) You must be somewhat knowledgeable about playing Pokemon competitively. You don't have to be a total pro and know everything about Pokemon, but you have to know what IV's, EV's, and natures are.

2) Post the name of the subway that you need help with at the beginning of your post. Just to avoid confusion, put singles, super singles, doubles, and super doubles at the beginning of your post. Do not ask for help with the Wi-Fi train.

3) Be helpful! Don't just ask for help for yourself. Give advice to other people if you faced the same difficulty they had and know what to do. Also, don't post one sentence answers. If you're going to give help, give a full explanation of what you are talking about that doesn't leave any questions hanging.

4) All other Pokebeach rules apply.
 
Well, I have a fully EV'd team with great movesets, items, and abilities, and I still can't even get close to beating the super singles train. I would consider anything that hard competitive.
 
I will give my 2 cents I find that (for singles at any level) that Cloyster with the folowing set up is really good:
Cloyster @ Focus Sash
Jolly (+Speed, -Sp. Attack)

...but you do need to EV train to win. So although you are not playing against an actual player, you do need to be competitive in your team-building.

It's like...it is and it isn't; catch my drift?
 
Plus, you can download actual player's teams and battle against them, so I guess it could be called competitive.

...But at the same time, he said no Wi-Fi questions.

Super Doubles:

So anyway, I do have a question. Is there some kind of sheet somewhere that shows all the teams in the Super Double train? Cause I'd like to see it so I can make a team around them. Thanks.
 
Never tried the super train. However I did find that Bulk Up Krookodile, Zoroark and Rocky Helmet Seismitoad worked well in the regular singles train.

Note this shows every Pokemon in the entirety of the Battle Subway. If you want to start looking at Super Train sets, scroll down to about #200 or so.

Do the Regis and the other legends really appear in the subway?

I guess I have a lot of training to do, lol. I had no idea there were that many. :p

The normal trains are extremely easy and can be beaten with un-EVed pokemon. I've done it myself, yet I too am unable to get more than 25 or so wins in the Super Single train using EVed Pokemon such as Salamence and Chandelure. The power jump is extraordinary and so doing well on the normal trains means absolutely nothing on the super trains.
 
Super Singles:

Agreed with Dark Void. I just got a new team together, so I'll post on what happens with it when I either beat the train or lose in it.
 
Sorry for double posting, but I said I would tell the results.

Super Singles:

Got brutally crushed on battle 15. It was pretty cheap/hax though. It was also stupidity on my part. I fake outed a crobat who had inner focus, who proceeded to OHKO my Mienshao with Brave Bird. It then got a crit to OHKO my Hydreigon, and then took out half the health of my jellicent before it finally died from recoil. I'm pretty sure it was holding a choice scarf since it outsped everything and only used one move. My jellicent then proceeded to die from a crit rock slide from Aerodactyl. I'll try again later and see what happens.

Edit: Just looked it up, it was holding a razor claw.

They all have Inner Focus, because DW Pokemon aren't seen on the Subway.
 
Yeah I know that was stupid of me. I haven't memorized all of the abilities so I should have looked it up ahead of time. It probably wouldn't have mattered though as it was faster than me in the first place and simply would have OHKO'd with no fake out.
 
Whats a good team for single battle? and only pokemon you can get in the game and no pokemon that have to be traded to evolve lol.
 
Super singles:

I don't know what a perfect team would be. My current team is Mienshao, Hydreigon, and Jellicent. I keep losing due to hax though and I'm not sure what to do. I just lost on battle 27 because a Mamoswine swept my entire team by hitting with fissure three times in a row. There was nothing I could have done. Anyway, I'm thinking of a new team. I'm thinking of using hippowdon and excadrill to use the cheap sand rush combo. Any advice on a third guy? I'm thnking maybe whimsicott to totally mess up their lead, switch into hippowdon to activate sand stream, then sweep with excadrill.

My favorite team for single battles is very simple. First lead cloyster (holding focus sash so it survives and must have skill link ability) shell smash and then destroy with rock blast and Icicle Spear. That should kill about 80% of pokemon you encounter. Next I have frostlass, but really any fast Destiny Bonder (I prefer froslass because it gets the boltbeam combo, and can finish off anything cloyster can't kill in 1 shot). Lastly I suggest Conkeldurr, but anything that is a little bulky, has a nice attack, but most importantly has a good priority move. That is my secret to winning in singles, and this group has really only lost to hax, and has never been overpowered.

Rhyperior - Item: Quick Claw
Rock Wrecker
Avalanche
Megahorn
Earthquake

Garchomp - Item: Focus Lense
Stone Edge
Sandstorm
Hone Claws
Dragon Rush

Krookadile - Item: Leftovers
Foul Play
Earthquake
Strength
Hone Claws

Objective: Start off with Rhyperior and Garchomp. While Garchomp uses Sandstorm to benefit your team, hit hard with rhyperior, with Megahorn or earthquake, as it deals minimal damage to garchomp. Then proceed to use hone claws with Garchomp, while still slamming with Rhyperior. If Rhyperior gets knocked out, bring out Krookadile swinging! Its amazing, and pretty much fool-proof! xD
 
I find my in-game team Haxorus to be pretty good in the subway... It KO's almost everything, even in Super Singles... It's only problem are faster special sweepers...

Of course, it should be Jolly, but like I said, this Haxorus is from my in-game team. I could also use DD over SD, but most of the time, I think more power is preferred. It is definitely my best pokémon... My problem in the subway is that I have trouble finding other good pokémon to back up Haxorus... I even EV trained an Hydreigon but it didn't have the right nature and it disappointed me a lot of times...
