Here are some darkrai variants in order by best to worst imo:

Darkrai/Hydreigon
Darkrai/Absol
Darkrai/Bouffalant/Deoxys/Plasma Badge
Speed Darkrai
Darkrai/Victini
Darkrai/Garbador
Darkrai/Aerodactyl
Darkrai/Terrakion

The list goes on, but a card to consider is Exp. Share, this card I think will see play in a few Darkrai variants. Bicycle is going to be really good in Darkrai since Energy Switch was a situational card and the Darkrai player is going to need to go through his deck as fast as he can.
 
I think Energy Switch is most likely gonna comeback with the next XY set.

As for my opinion on BDIF, Plasma. Plasma all the way.

I agree, since energy switch has been with us since aquapolis and has been in the Gen 3-5 base sets, I think that it will.
 
I've done some testing and for all my matches Plasma has come on top over VirGen. Plasma is just too fast and consistent for it. Also, as long as it has tool scrappers it can deal with Suicune and other things that attempt to lock it out of attacking. Then there's Blastoise, which when played correctly is insanely great. But my preference over the two is Plasma, so imo the BDIF will be/is Plasma.

The only reason it works is because how huge plasma is getting to be. As long as you can set up suicune with the silver mirror, you can set up haxorus for plasma kills.
 
Uh...how does having an active Suicune with Silver Mirror prevent them from KOing Haxorus and its pre-evolved forms?

I can't see that being the BDIF. Reason being Plasma is fast and consistent, so even if you manage to set up the stall on attacking Plasma will overwhelm it. Oh yeah and then theres sniping so chances are you won't even be able to get a Haxorus out. Please explain how you will be able to win if you go 2nd and your opponent gets a mediocre start? Also, this relies on the fact that your opponent is running plasma. If they're not your kinda screwed
:EDIT: Haxorus just dies after attacking so this deck doesn't really work. Quad suicune is better probably.
 
I didn't do much Testing with Suicune, 3 Games, Plasma Came out on top each game. Just throwing that out there. Plasma Kyurem and Thundurus Take care of Haxey no problem.

Did you play Regular Old Quad Snorlax w/ Mewtwo and DCE's? Because beating VirGen with a deck that relies on Hypnotoxic Lasers is quite impressive.
