Blastoise / Keldeo EX / Black Kyurem EX

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

He's saying he rather run fire lighting and water because instead of discarding the three water energy with black billista he can discard two water and a fire

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

There is enough energy in the deck so that you don't run out very easily. Also, if you're attacking with BK-EX then you should either 1) be able to keep using it for more KO's, or 2) have a backup plan, or 3) have the resources to blast out another Keldeo EX to surprise (partially at least) your opponent.

I know this deck runs alot of energy but you want to use the resources in your hand to the best extent possible. I would rather have that one water to attach to Keldeo EX instead of that fire, which would lower the damage output to 90 instead of 110.

I agree with you on that

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

But wouldn't you still want to preserve the water energy anyways? If you don't need it on the black kyurem(example when your not playing a klinklang why do you need the fire energy) that extra water energy can be held for later on

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

Or you could play Prism and have it handy for either BK-EX or Moltres or Keldeo EX...

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

It's fine though according to my testing...

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

if you want to play Prisms with a fire type tech Benchtini might be the better option. I know he's fragile but you run a big bench most of the time anyways and you don't have to discard a prism every time.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

Why would you discard a prism every time with moltres?

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

Because Moltres makes you discard a fire energy to use its attack.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

Moltres

[R][C][C] Searing Flame {50}

The Defending Pokemon is now Burned.

That 2HKO's...

EDIT: Or if you're just that way you can attach another energy and have to discard an energy just to OHKO.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

But wouldn't you want to go for the ko against decks like klinklang what's the point of 2 shooting them when they just heal the damage off with a max potion

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

Since when does PlasmaKlang want to discard the energies?

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

No no you one shot them (klinklang) with moltres

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

When dealing with Garbador, how many tool scrapper you think this deck should run? 1,2, or run 1 with dowsing machine?

You want to OHKO becuase if you know they will try anything to move it back to the bench becuase that klingklang is their strategy. Not only that but most klingklangs run alot of max potions and switch. so now you are at step one again. They will switch to Cobalion EX and its first attack discards special energys anyways. So you are SOL since you cant search for another one or get it back. If you have regular energy you can get that fire back really easily and start again since you should be running 4 energy retrievals.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise (With and without Black Kyurem EX)

How would you move the energy back to the bench? All Klinklang protects against are EX's...
