Il die and see if i respawn/ go back to checkpoint realistic aswell as the many online and offline physic flaws.

Can't believe I haven't seen this thread till' now.
I haven't pre-ordered it, but I'll still get it, the game looks just as fine as MW2.
I really don't care what people say, Call of Duty is a great series. It and Halo are the best-ranking videogames out there as far as shooters go. Black Ops will be no exception. There's even a Jeep Wrangler Black Ops edition. :/
Just because you have problems with commando in MW2 doesn't mean you shouldn't consider this game.
I'll see you guys on team deathmatch. :3

I did pre-order this game and I am counting down the seconds in my head. Yes, you can call me a Call of Duty fanboy. I know things were wrong with MW2 that SHOULD have been fixed and weren't. Why? I'm going to take a wild guess it was Infinity Ward who didn't give a shpoozle about their online (other than releasing map packs).

Still, I have to agree with ShadowLugia, simply because there was Commando and NoobTube in the last game doesn't mean this game will be such a disaster. I've read and watched most of the Black Ops stuff out there, and from what Treyarch has said, it seems like they are cracking down on some of the most annoying things like Quickscoping, boosting, hacking, and adding some really fun game-modes along with a whole new economy-based system. Although taking out quick-scoping bums me out a bit, I did find it annoying that if your shot was not a quickscope with a sniper, you were a n00b.

And this game is definitely not going to be perfect, far from it. The lack of secondary weapons is kind of annoying (but it does make more sense with the game's time frame). MW2 had lots of interesting primary weapons (some extremely overpowered though) and a whole lot of choices for your secondary which really allowed you to "define" yourself as a player, but with the whole bunch of customization and decisions in Black Ops, I don't think "defining" yourself is going to be that big of an issue.

And most of all, I like how the killstreaks seem somewhat balanced and that Nukes are gone. I do think that the RC car is going to get annoying as a 3 killstreak. I feel Napalm is also going to get annoying, but I have yet to see a video with it actually being used, so we'll have to wait for that. Everything else in the game seems pretty cool. It'll have its achievements and failures like MW2 did, although hopefully the failures won't suck as much as MW2's did. (COMMANDO TELEPORTATION >:[)

If Commando still exists in the game, then hopefully treyarch will fix it so that so it doesn't work from "500 feet away" >=O. And they should stop Scavenger (if it still exists) from allowing you to reload Grenade launcher ammo.

I do like the new emblem system, don't know why you would put an emblem on your gun though as no one will be able to see it apart from maybe clan members or friends, but the whole concept is pretty cool. Hopefully they'll have a wide selection of images and colours like the Halo series did. I do like some of the new equipment and killstreaks like the Blackbird which is just a super UAV and the Valkyrie Rocket which is basically like having a primary weapon, and side arm and a RPG (that can't destroys airbourne killstreaks as far as i know) and the RC-XD which is just so cool. I hope there's still a nice collection of secondary weapons you can choose from as i don't want it to be another COD 4 where you're secondary weapon meant nothing unless you had that perk that allowed to carry to primary weapons.

The whole currency system seesm a bit weird to me, but its a pretty new thing in CoD so who knows how well that will turn out. I Heard rumors that there's going to be a Zombie mode like in W@W (As it is Treyarch) anyone know if this is true?

All in all, i'm pretty excited for this game though i'm probably not getting it until christmas as that's when i'm getting the new slim 4GB xbox 360.

Zombie mode is DEFINITELY confirmed. At least some of the maps for Zombies take place in the Pentagon, too.

So yeah, I just found out that the Scavenger perk is still here, but it cannot pick up n00b tube ammo. Yay!
Also, One Man Army is gone too.

In other words, N00b tubing is almost gone now!

I hope the noobtubing isn't super exact like it was in MW2, but like it was in MW1 where it curved a bit. This could stop the spawn tubing in games like Search and Destroy.

Some early release copy games have been recorded and the game seems pretty cool (although the guy I was watching was a pro going 47-2 so of course the gameplay was good). Although from his video, he got 25+ kills with the chopper gunner. It was pretty scary. He just mowed them all down with gunfire, although it was a completely open map (Jungle) so people couldn't really hide.

I am really anoyed right now. Because everyones loving this game, So many kids are skyving school and staying up all night just to play it and every 5 minutes its mentioned. It may be good but really loose education and sleep over it. C'mon.

^Oh no. See, it IS just that good. My friend who is 20 I might add, got it at the midnight release and is still playing even as I type this message. He has not stopped since midnight! When a new game like this comes out, he plays it for 24 hours straight.

I just picked up my copy today on my way to school. Im counting the minutes until I can go home and play it....

I got the 'sux-hour offer' which meant that I got it for 24.99. Great game. Kinda basic as they all are - kill the bad guys and get good stuff. But hey, that's was it's all about.

Yup. Now that Black Ops has been out for almost a week, its safe to say that this game is boss. Its really good.

I luv my bomber kill streak. 7 kills with Hardline Pro. :D

Thet need to sort out the respawning problem though. Sometimes it spawns you near enemy or near the person who killed you leading to some pretty dumb spawn kills. However i do like how you can do 2 player online on the same xbox (excluding a few game modes).

Yeah I agree. This problem mainly occurs on NukeTown. I've had many games where I would spawn behind 3 enemy players or vise versa.

Actually, the biggest problem of this game is the matchmaking system. I have 5 other friends that get on usually and we all party up. Problem is, it takes about 5 attempts for us to join a game. The lobby keeps closing on us and booting out us players.

I was prestiged the day after it came out, I find it boring now. Don't get me wrong, it's the best in the CoD series, but I've played too much CoD in the past that it feels all the same to me.

I understand what you mean. Its just a variation of the same thing.
New perks, weapons and killstreaks, but its still just a simple "Run around and kill people" game.

Off-topic: @dragon9: Your avatar <3

On-topic: @shadoworganoid: Yeah, I have to agree with that. It seems a little too much of the same, and that's just from playing a few hours of it at a cousin's house/watching the walkthroughs (I don't have the game yet). Alas, fifteen year olds all over the world will gleam at the new weapons and perks like you said and the series will continue to make money. Not that I have a problem with it, as it still seems like a great game.
