Safari users:

1. Copy this url: http://www.apronus.com/chess/diagram-jpg.php?d=_RNBQKBNRPPPPPPPP________________________________pppppppprnbqkbnr
2. Open a word processing document (like Notepad), make sure the font is Courier or Courier New.
3. Reformat the text after "d=_" as such:

4. Move the pieces to their present configuration. Here's the code:
  • Uppercase = White
  • Lowercase = Black
  • _ = Unoccupied
  • P = Pawn
  • K = King
  • Q = Queen
  • R = Rook
  • N = Knight
  • B = Bishop
5. Remove the line breaks.
6. Copy the new URL into the thread, and wrap IMG tags around it.

Example:
