DPPt/HGSS Chikorita, Cyndaquil, or Totodile?

Who will be your starter? Chikorita, Cyndaquil, or Totodile

My bro's are basically forcing me to have a chikorita. Because they called all the other ones. But In crystal, I was like 8, I choose cyndiquil. Chikorita looks just weak to me. :[. But I'll have to learn to love it, just like Ash/Pikachu.

I might pick all three, but I want to pick Cyndaquil or Totodile. Chikorita maybe.

Feraligatr is a wall. I dont know where you see its "really low" defense.
 
I'm going to go with Cyndaquil, as it's cool, and looks cute simulatainelsly. And it's also my favourite starter of all time.
 
I hate to sound unoriginal, but I will also choose Cyndaquil. There aren't many Grass types I like (basically Exeggcutor, Leafeon, and Breloom), and the Chikorita line is unfortunately not one of them. :( As for Totodile, I have been breeding my own Super-Totodile (Adamant with Dragon Dance, Ice Punch, Aqua Tail and Aerial Ace), so there's no good reason to choose one from Prof. Elm.

Honestly, it doesn't matter either way, because I will trade for all three eventually. But I am not leaving New Bark Town without a Cyndaquil!
 
i will pick cyndaquil because in platinum i have all the pokemon and i will breed Totodile and Chikorita and trade and then hatch in soulsilver
 
I will be picking Totodile, back when my Gold and Silver's batteries worked I played through with Cyndaquil, and Chikorita. This time I'm going through with Totodile.
 
I second that. I always pick water types because I think their powerful and cute at the same time! *In a UU thread*

Typhlosion base defense: 78
Feraligatr base defence: 100

I'm going for totodile probably, seems the best overall
waterfall, superpower, ice fang, crunch
 
Slightly off-topic: one reason I am not picking Totodile is because I have been breeding them. The babies come out Adamant with Ice Punch, Dragon Dance, Aqua Tail, and Aerial Ace. I'm pretty sure Aerial Ace will be replaced later (was gonna go with Earthquake).

Does that sound like a plausible set?

Back on-topic: the main reason I am picking Cyndaquil (besides how adorable it is) is the fact that I can't think of a decent way to breed one.
 
I would have to pick Cyndaquil for sure. Fire starters have always been my favourite. But I might pick Totodile on my second try. If I ever restart my game that is,lol
 
I'm going to have to pick Chikorita. I don't really have a reason other than I just really like Chikorita.
I used to pick Totodile back when I had Crystal version though.
