Cinccino and Eels

Ever since Cinccino came out I've been wanting to try a deck with him..this deck is basically just a bunch of splashable pokemon. I like the idea and stuff and was hoping to get some advice for it!

Pokemon 16:
3-3 Cinccino BW
3-3 Eelektrik NV
1 Mewtwo EX
1 Regigigas EX
1 Pichu HS
1 Thundurus EP

T/S 31:
2 Switch
3 Catcher
4 J-Arm
3 Collector
4 Level Ball
2 Super Rod
2 N
2 PONT
3 Juniper
2 Rocky Helmet
2 Sage's
2 Pluspower

Energy 13:
9 Electric
4 DCE

Basically, I try to get out Cinccino's and Eels as fast as possible. By t1 I want to have either Cleffa out or a Collector/Oak. I use Cinccino to hit quickly for about 80 damage t2 and then just accelerate energy onto Mewtwo's or Gigas.

Comments/advice is welcome and appreciated!

Wow, this is crazy. I built this deck not a half hour ago for my girlfriend who is just learning to play pokemon. However, I went more the route of an electric toolbox, using Cincinno & Eels. I used a 4-3 Cincinno line and a 3-2 Eel line, that way it will be easier to swarm the Cincinnos. I also used 2 Thundurus for starters and to get energy into the discard as well as Tornadus to counter {F} decks.

Really? Wow that's amazing! xD

Anyways..I never thought of Thundurus...but I'll have to try him. And Tornadus would probably be good to test as well. I was actually thinking of throwing in Tornadus EX when it gets released.

I'd still use maybe some zekrom and zekrom EX as attackers since they are basics and can hit for a lot. If you are going to run cincinno as the main attacker, Ty thickening the line to 3-3 for consistency.

I'm actually trying to steer away from Zekrom and Zek EX. I really don't want to run a Zeel-ish variant :p

Don't forget to add in the new Raikou EX when it comes out. :)

Yeah..I might try him too...so many things I have to test! :p

like jirachi said add some zekrom and add 0-1 chinccino for consistency

Yeah...I really should add another Cinccino....xPP I'll probably take out a Gigas or Mewtwo for him...

I think that a 4-4 line is good for maximum consistency. Plus, I think you have a couple more energies than needed. Since Cinccino only needs a DCE to power up you could cut one or two lightning energies for that Cinccino line.

Hmm...I'll have to try that out as well! I've never had less than 14 energy in any deck so I'm a little hesitant to drop any, but it might work so I'll give it a shot.

Maybe
-1 switch (only 2 needed)
-1 super rod (only 1 needed)
-1 PONT (juniper better for discarding)
-1 regigigas (not that great of an attacker IMO)
+1 level ball (4 is needed IMO)
+1 junk arm (good for discarding)
+2 juniper (discarding)

I won a Battle Roads with Cinccino, but it was a much different deck. Pichu is an AMAZING starter for Cinccino, and I used Ninetales as bench fillers/drawing Engine. Since I was using Fire energy, I had a couple Reshiram. They aren't difficult to power up by manual attachments if you're keeping pressure with Cinccino, and let you hit a little bit higher. I was consistently getting T2 100+ damage with that.

Anyway, if you want to stick with CinEels, the primary change I would make is +2 Pichu. You shouldn't have too much of a problem with getting Energy on Cinccino, so searching out a DCE isn't so important you need Cleffa. Level Ball makes getting Cinccino incredibly easy with enough supporters, so for this deck, Pichu is better. Pluspower is another helpful item too, and I'd suggest a Zekrom EX for heavy firepower instead of Regigigas.

So I updated the list a bit...

Here's what I did;

Pokemon:
-1 Mewtwo EX
-1 Regigigas EX
-1 Cleffa HS/CL

+0-1 Cinccino
+1 Thundurus EP
+1 Pichu HS

After more testing I figured out I really only needed 1 of each EX. Pichu is a better starter than Cleffa for Cinccino and I added another Cinccino for consistency.

T/S

-1 Switch
-1 PONT

+1 Juniper
+1 Level Ball

Level Ball helps to search out and Juniper is good since I'm discarding :p

*Note: I missed a card when originally creating this thread...I originally had 4 J-Arm xPP So I fixed that =P

Looking for a way to maybe add a couple Pluspower and more Cinccino?

I'd probably try replacing 1 super rod with a Minccino, and replace some of the Rocky Helmets with Pluspower. How many is up to you, I'd say 2 pluspowers and 1 rocky helmet is best, but that's just me. Maybe 1 pluspower and 2 rocky helmets is your preference. Either way, you can try it, and adjust it to your needs. You may want to consider taking out 2 energy or so for some more drawing supporters. Since you have Eelektrik to get your energy back, you really don't need as much.

Hmm..alright, I'll have to test replacing Super Rod with Minccino :)

For now, I made a couple more changes..

-1 Electric Energy
-1 Rocky Helmet

+2 Pluspower

Well, I figured out I can get away with only 9 electric energy (possibly 8..might be trying that later..) and since I have 4 J-Arm 2 Rocky Helmet and 2 Pluspower should be good.

Comment and review please!

Use the Cinccino from ND, it's call for family attack can save you from a Donk.

I'd also suggest you find something to switch Regi out with. Maybe Zekrom EX, for a late game sweep.

You mean Minccino right? I do think I have those in there...and in any case, adding 1 Cinccino from ND is actually not a bad idea...

And I really like Regi...he works against pretty much anything and is splashable so...

Yes, and I would add in 1 Cinccino ND, it's worked well with my deck :) (it can save donk too :p)

Cinccino is one of my favourite pokemon and I'd love to get a deck with him working, for fun or otherwise.

The list isn't horrible but a couple of things to consider to keep Cinccino as good as it can get:

Collector is kind of a bad card these days because the format, Cinccino included, are focused on speed. For that reason, I would consider dropping the collectors in favor of Dual Balls. Being able to use your supporter for the turn to draw more cards is far more beneficial to you than searching out three basics, when you can just as easily Level Ball for Pichu and get set up that way instead.

The draw support is lacking a quite a bit, not sure if there is a particular reason for that. Sage's is not good. Hahaha, I think I've said this at least 5 times in other threads. You're accomplishing enough energy discard from Junk Arm, Ultra Ball (I'll get to that later) and Junipers. With that noted, Sage's takes up your supporter for the turn and will get you two cards, discarding the other three, which probably would've have been nice to have as well. Drop them for more Juniper's, Oaks, and even N.

Ultra Ball is a great search card as you can drop two cards from your hand to search any Pokemon. Use them to accomplish a lot of for the deck at one time instead of Sage's.

I'd been playing around with Black Belt a lot lately and it's an underestimated card for those times when you need to get through Eviolites or to push that last bit of damage. I'm not saying put them in the deck but it depends on your play style, a one of, maybe even two of in this deck could help push Cinccino through those Eviolited pokemon.

Consider dropping the Thundurus for a 4th Tynamo. If Pichu is getting you set up, Thundurus may never really get the chance to charge like you'd like it to. Late game would suggest Zekrom instead of Thundurus for the extra damage that it can deal. I would also like to see a 2nd Pichu in here just incase one gets prized. I may have over estimated how important Pichu is to the set up of the deck but if I am right, you'll be happy to look through your deck and see Pichu there more often than not.

Lastly, Random Receiver is a great addition to the deck when you're only running draw supporters. It will find you one when you really need the extra cards and should be considered. If you decide that you want to keep the collectors in your deck, consider running PokeGear to help you dig through your deck to get the supporter that you really need.

I would tech in a 2-2 BLW Zoroark line. It will help a lot of your matchups such as Zekeels. If you have one, I would also find room for a second Mewtwo EX.
