Counter That Deck

RE: Counter That Deck!

Pyroar / Charizard EX / Mewtwo EX / Float Stone

Setup a Pyroar and then attach a float stone. They can't really do much... Charizard EX and Mewtwo EX can also kill Beartic if needed.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Empoleon / Miltank w/ 1 Mew EX

Empoleon + Pyroar + Charizard = death. Miltank's just a solid attacker for stuff that's not Pyroar, and Mew can deliver the final KO on Mewtwo, if needed.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Donphan / Raichu / Latias

Donphan OKHOs Miltank, while Latias provides a solid wall and possible attacking option that Empoleon can't touch. Raichu can also one-shot an Empoleon with relative ease.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Seismitoad-EX/Landorus-EX

Seismitoad avoids you placing any retreating items on the field while hitting a Donphan pretty hard, and Landorus can easily OHKO Raichu with Hammerhead and finish off Latias with a Land's Judgment.

RE: Counter That Deck!

VirGen with Beartic

Virizion / Genesect is just a tried and true combo. You can even blast Toads without needing G-Booster. Beartic will do a good number on Landurus, if you can't the G-Booster out. It will also improve your odds against Pyroar, just in case.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Forretress/Pyroar

Forestress (Flash Fire) destroys Beartic (with a similar attack none the less) while putting damage on everything else. From there, Pyroar + Muscle Band should take care of the VirGen.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Clawitzer/Reshiram LTR/CharizardEX

Clawitzer can swiftly dispose of any Pyroar or put a dent in Forretress then switch into Reshiram to finish it off. Charizard is also a nice tank.

(I swear if the next person says Vir/Gen w Beartic...)

RE: Counter That Deck!

Empoleon/Miltank/Cryogonel

Empoleon kills Charizard and Reshiram. Miltank is a natural partner that can take out Clawitzer with a Muscle Band. Croyogonel is to deal with any Seismatoad EX that could easily counter this deck.

RE: Counter That Deck!

M-Manectric-EX / Aromatisse / Xerneas

Mega Manetric will one-shot anything in this deck. None of thise Pokemon can one-shot it in return, so Aromatisse with Max Potions will keep your Megas alive. Manectric can also reattach discarded Fairy energy, letting you go for an X-Blast or Rainbow Spear if you lose your Rainbow Energy later on.

Landorus EX/Garbodor DRX/Cobalion LTR/Hawlucha FUF with Muscle Band and LaserBank.

Landorus EX is the main attacker of the deck and can hit Manectric EX for Weakness, as well as possibly 1HKOing. Hawlucha has enough strength with Muscle Band and a Strong Energy or LaserBank to 1HKO Mega Manectric EX. Garbodor shuts off Aromatisse's Fairy Transfer Ability and enables Hawlucha to hit for Weakness. Cobalion can attack Xerneas and Aromatisse for Weakness should they ever come active.

Donphan / Sigilyph / Dragons w/ Heavy Lysandre and Pokemon Catcher

While Garbotoxin is active, Reshiram and Kyurem wreck Cobalion and Landorus respectively. When Garbotoxin isn't active, Sigilyph is immune to Landorus, and Cobalion does barely anything to it with Energy Press. Hawlucha is useless because you don't run any EXs.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Emboar / Blaziken FFI

Use Inferno Fandago to stream energy onto Blaziken and use Burning Shot to smack Donphan for 150, even if it's benched. The dragons can also be OHKOed this way before Outrage damage starts to add up. Blacksmith can be used for energy recovery, but with Emboar around and the sheer amount of discard, Superior Energy Retrieval is worth running.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Seismatoad / Garbodor / Hammers

Shuts down Emboars ability and crucial items like rare candy and energy retrieval. It also hits for weakness. Hammers make it even harder to keep up with attachments.

Virizion EX / Genesect EX / Leafeon PLF w/ 1 Lysandre's Trump Card

Virizion and Genesect deal tons of damage to Seismitoad with weakness. Once you get 1 Emerald Slash off, the game is basically over, as you have too many Energy in play for them to Hammer away, and Virizion and Genesect just wreck them. If they Hammer your Energy enough that you can't Emerald Slash, Leafeon can either KO or severely damage Seismitoad for 1 Energy. The LTC is to shuffle Grass Energy back in, in case you run out of them.

I'd also like to note that I played this deck at Winter Regionals back in January (minus the LTC, of course), so I can state first hand that Leafeon is useful for a lot of things.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Pyroar / Jamming Net / Head Ringer / Megaphone / Catcher / Blacksmith

They just plow through your deck with Pyroar and you can't attach G-Booster. Leafeon isn't going to save you from a hoard of Pyroar :p.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Quad Beartic (two each of PLS and FFI)

It's not a Pokemon-EX, so the Flare tools will do no good. Either Baartic can one-shot a Pyroar, but the Plasma one might be the better option in case your opponent has Float Stones.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Forretress / Feraligatr / Manaphy / Fliptini

Forrestress + Muscle Band kills Beartic (after the 10 spread). Feraligatr can also take advantage of the spread by doing 160 to anything that's damaged (knocking out any 170 HP EX). Manaphy / Fliptini is an alternate energy acceleration engine (fliptini gives you better odds).

Flareon / Leafeon / Garbodor / Yveltal EX

Flareon hits Forretress for weakness, Leafeon hits for Feraligatr for weakness, and both Flareon and Leafeon are easier to power up than Forretress and Feraligatr. Garbodor is helpful for shutting of their abilities, so Final Wish and Fliptini won't be all that helpful against you. Yveltal is there if you need a bulky EX attacker. Feraligatr's attacks cost so much Energy that Yveltal should be able to KO them every time. You don't have any other colored Energy in the deck, so why not? Plus, you play heavy Float Stone to counter Forretress's attack.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Manectric EX/M Manectric EX/Gengar EX/Head Ringer/Jamming Net/Target Whistle/Hand Scope/Max Potion/Switch/Dimensional Valley

Head Ringer and Jamming Net will slow down Yveltal EX while allowing Manectric EX to OHKO you. M Manectric EX runs right through your stage ones and if a flareon damages me i can switch into a fresh attacker and max potion the other one. Stage 1's mean weak basics, so target whistle will bring them back from the discard and Gengar EX can snipe them without any energy because of Dimensional Valley while ensuring they won't evolve next turn because Hand Scope will tell me if you have the evolution in your hand or some way to get it.

RE: Counter That Deck!

Hawlucha / Donphan / Trevenant / Ghetsis

Hawlucha is the best counter to Manectric. It's a one energy KO with the right boosters. Ghetsis is for early item disruption while Donphan/Trevenant provides item lock plus cheap damage.
