The wiis lineup is NOT great. Stop saying so! please! It's hardly even C+ acceptable!
Again, totally based on your opinion. You might not like the line up, but alot of other people who went to E3 did.The Nameless Penguin Master said:The wiis lineup is NOT great. Stop saying so! please! It's hardly even C+ acceptable!

You want what the populace thinks then? The Nameless Penguin Master said:Haha, I know Wii stole the show. This is opinion based here, not based on the populace.

See... this is my thing. Generally, a single game series, or a few individual games, in my mind, is not enough to justify buying a console. For example, there are several games for me on the PlayStation that seem interesting (MegaMan X7 and X8, *possibly* the FF series), but why buy the console if I am only going to get a few games for it? In the end, it doesn't really add up for me. The reason I have liked Nintendo consoles and games was because I could find a good number of games on it that I like. I tend to prefer fantasy / sci-fi games as opposed to shooting (except for Goldeneye), skateboarding, and fighting games (with SSB being a rare exception). It is all a matter of individual tastes.
Granted, Rare is on board with Microsoft this time around. Donkey Kong, Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye, and Conker (some parts of it anyway), are all games that I would enjoy playing. Halo and GTA don't really interest me all that much. However, if there are enough games that I like on the 360, I may very well consider getting it.
Here is something else that I have noticed. Is it just me, or are the XBox and PlayStation consoles starting become more like entertainment PCs? You can play DVDs and do other things on them. IMO, I would rather buy a console that specializes in video games; not too many other bells and whistles. To be somewhat fair, the Wii and the DS will/already have Internet browsing capabilities, and they may eventually be headed down the same path as Sony and Microsoft (which I hope doesn't happen). Still, it seems that Sony and Microsoft's consoles are starting to become more oriented towards entertainment in general, as opposed to actual video games.
Feel free to correct me on any facts that isn't quite right.
I meant to say games similar to those, not actual releases of the games on different consoles.Crazy Weavile said:Donkey Kong is Nintendo-owned... -_-
The extra features are nice, but ultimately contribute to the cost of production for the console, and consequently, the price of the console itself. What if I already have a DVD player, or Blu-Ray? What if I want a DVD player with more capabilities than what the PS3 has? So far, there doesn't seem to be a way to get the game console alone without the entertainment center. And with the cost of the console, I would have to find at least 6 or 7 games to make it worthwhile buying.Whicker said:True, the PS3 and 360 may be more like computers than the classic videogame console, but why exactly does that matter? If they play videogames well, then what's the problem? Plus, you may find that DVD player or CD player useful at some point... I know I have. And also, just because the Wii specializes in videogames, that doesn't mean it is automatically better at it than the others.
