Deck Discussion #12: Blazeray (DP-SV)

We are talking about late game here. Do you have the time to get a mesprit out or would you rather get out the palkia G? As I said you lose out in speed and viable options. I don't know what legoes you run but I am pretty sure blazeray can walk through it.

Urm this is why we have bright look and or that burning attack. you switch in and have to either retreat wasting a valuable energy or you are KOed by bright look. You can't set up as fast as Blazeray or luxape after a KO as you require 3/4 energies to do something worth writing home about. We only need an energy.

Jeez... do you people even bother to read my posts?

YOU CAN NOT BRIGHT LOOK WHILE UNDER A POWER LOCK.

You will be set so far back by Azelf MT that it's funny. That burning attack... do you seriously think that we won't have a very simple way to answer that? Only a really really BAD Legos player loses to Blazeray in the way you're talking about.

We beat you in the quick game, we beat you in the long game. I fail to see how you could think for a second that the matchup isn't in Legos favor.

Well against T-tar they had free retreat because of Moonlight-Weavile and I had no Sprays in my hand, and against Flygon I killed it quickly but he still had a fully powered Flygon Lv.X.

You're extreme biased for Palkia made me throw up in my mouth a bit.

Loving a deck is one thing. But to go about flaunting it on every thread you can find an opening in is another. I'm really quite tired of you and your Palkia>Everything mentality.

I prefer Blaziken, but that doesn't mean I won't admit the deck has weaknesses, just like Palkia. However in your game of theorymon, did you ever take into account if your opponent actually setup and didn't just attach pass for five turns? Bad hands happen on both sides, and I'll be the first to admit that.

Onto its matchups, I believe that Flygon provides the deck the most difficulty. Though wrecking their setup fast and potentially teching a Ditto are the only ways to pull that cat out of the bag. I gave my Flygon to a friend, and it came down to 1-1 prizes twice where I had to rely on taking prizes off of random junk in order to win. Every time he played a Baltoy/Weavile, I immediately OHKO'd it. If it wasn't for key techs and Sprays, the game would've definitely tilted in his favor.

^ That is why I tech in a ditto ;), I think flygon is a bad matchup. Ninetales just doesn't cut it, its slower than your ditto

I don't think that at all. I'm just making a point that Blazeray has a bad matchup to it. That's what the argument was, nothing more.

That post is full of win. Anyway, Palkia is a great deck and it shouldn't lose to Blazeray. I used Azelf MT against a Blazeray and that just DESTROYED him.

I've seen all sorts of lists of this deck but I saw something horrible. Don't play 2-2 Luxray. It's the stupidest ever.

BTW Palkia can beat Blaziken but Blaze can beat palkia. That's how it works.

Really? Re-read your 'argument' then, because if that's the way you prove a point I could just as easily say something like:

HOW CAN YOU POWER LOCK WHEN I PLAY POWER SPRAY?

Luxray OHKO's you and the possibility of Sunnyshore auto-negates Croak. Oh well, that mean's you lose. Only a BAD Blazeray player could lose against Palkia. UGGHHHHH. =/

Instead of posting in such a way, back it up with detailed examples and actual matchplay, because so far I see it as 50/50 without techs and different lists being much of a factor. Luxray>Palkia Croak>Luxray Uxie X>Croak. It depends entirely on who has even the slightest advantage in setup and what the Palkia player has prized.

It takes a good player to win against decks like Palkia with any deck.
