RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Maybe this time I can stick with a thread banner...
Ooh, I really like the clouds in the Drifblum picture! Although I would suggest possibly a thinner outline in that certain one, the thin-ness of the clouds doesn't mix so well with the thick outline
RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Maybe this time I can stick with a thread banner...
I adore your stuff. A lot of it is really unique and whimsical even.
And as for the graphic design stuff, you got it. It's awesome. Keep doing what you're doing.
RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Big Update Coming Soon!
@Dark-Giratina: Thanks a lot! There will be a large update soon with everything finished. Stay tuned!
@saurs'pokefan: I drew that angle by accident and I thought it looked good. Originally it was going to be oblivious to everything. Glad you like it.
@HolyMackerel: Thanks for the tip. I'll make sure to change things around.
@Vulpix-core: That's the first time anyone has called anything I have done 'whimsical'. Thank you for the encouragement!
I haven't got an update this time as I'll try to be finishing up a lot of things in about a week for a big update. Banners, Avatars, Drawings, Maybe even a tutorial or two if I am feeling up for it.
I didn't want to leave all your posts hanging 'till then.
RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Big Update Coming Soon!
This isn't the big update but I was having trouble uploading this one image to Photobucket, Tinypic AND Pokebeach attachments. Either the file size was too large or the image itself was too large, forcing a re-size.
Considering it could be seen by anyone who viewed my DA (no-one) I might as well put it here too. Big update coming...*looks at watch* I dunno...but soon!
RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Big Update Coming Soon!
@HolyMackerel: Thanks for the comments! I did try to keep the newbs in mind.
@saurs'pokefan: Which I would recommend? I never got along with Gimp, it just felt like Photoshop for kids. I barely ever used fireworks, I used it for about an hour 3 years ago when I had to do some graphics for a website in school. Nevertheless it felt awkward. Both programs are inferior to Photoshop though. It may take a long time to learn (5 years self taught) but it does pay off.
You can create some really beautiful things in Photoshop. For graphics Photoshop is unmatched.
Lineart is a different story. I haven't used it but apparently SAI is really good. Tried to download it once and it gave me a malware warning so I use PS for everything. :/
tl;dr: Photoshop. Thanks for asking!
I did a few more of these. Not too proud of the Driftblimb.
A little bit of everything in here.
I don't think I have posted these yet...if I have this big update just got a lot smaller. I apologize for some of the blurriness.
Groom Gramps
I'll try to finish the stuff like the Cradilly piece (and it has come to my attention that I did call it Lileep on occasion) but I'm not going to start any large 1200x720 pieces. I go on and on about this, I know, but I really need to fill this empty space.
RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Gallery Schmallery
The patterns and effects on the background used for each banner looks quite excellently done. Interesting font and Pokemon positioning on each piece allows for the viewer's eyes to naturally look at the areas of the banner you want to naturally stand out. Though, the probable problem I've noticed is the overall blending of the Tauros banner. Frankly, the white space surrounding the limbs of the creature appears disturbing; and especially with the sudden change of colors of blue to green. While using backgrounds from natural places might work in a banner, I honestly don't fiddle with them if I can't blend the picture properly.
One way I can suggest to improve this is either using the Filter Gallery options on the background layer or use the Layer Options to blend in the layer you've positioned your Tauros on.
RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Gallery Schmallery
@saurs'pokefan: Thanks! They won't be the last.
@Grumpigfarmer: I appreciate that, thanks!
@Dark-Giratina: I see your point. I'll make sure to pay more attention to the render in relation to the background next time. Thanks!
(At first I thought you meant the green of the Tyranitar and the blue of the Quagsire. Good job I read it a few more times.)
Some say it takes a while to recognize what it actually is. I call that a style.
Also non-lawsuit Lugia!
On another note, I don't like the new Photobucket...
RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Gallery Schmallery
At least we can change back to the old layout. ;]
Just updating with the two images. Drew it in 5 minute segments every time I took a small break from my college work. Hoping to finish it, I really liked how it came out. Apart from maybe the head and neck, I didn't start this out thinking of Misty.
RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Gallery Schmallery
Well, since you're all asking nice.
I've made a bit more progress on it. This may benefit from smaller lines.
I love drawing to music. Gives me so much inspiration. Still figuring out what else I can do with this but when I am done I'll do a digital version. Colour scheme, correct proportions, wings, name etc...
