Art Gallery Delta's Magical Art Factory - Amelia & Yeward

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Oh hey! I actually did something...

So I wasn't going to update until after Christmas but this calls for an exception. I finally did some Game Grumps fanart that I am actually happy with. Also I may as well post the finished Blaziken.

Nice and crisp lineart you've crafted for yourself, Delta!

But just out of curiosity, why the heck do you have three digital softwares functioning all at once? :p

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - 1 Year Anniversary! Wooh!

Expect more line-art in the future! Thanks Articuno :]

As for the multiple programs thing, I tend to have many open just so I don't have to mess around. If I need one, considering that when I draw I'm usually in a comfy place with some music and covered in wires, I don't have to wait a century for something to load while I'm in the drawing mood. In some cases though, I sometimes draw quick sketches in Photoshop (The first two drawings of that Blaziken were in PS) and then move over to SAI to do a few more sketches and then the final line-art. Sometimes I colour in PS, sometimes in SAI.
For Paint, I use it to save screen shots easy. Notice how it only appears after the first screen ;]

Surprise Surprise, I haven't done the stuff I said. To busy drawing May.

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - 1 Year Anniversary! Wooh!

I burst out laughing when I saw may with the psychicpebbles face. Keep it up dude!

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - So Gonna Draw JoJo Fanart One Day

Thanks SL :)

I'll be working on some of the stuff that has gained a lot of interest (Zero, Magmortar) and I'll be scanning most of my sketches in so they are a better quality. I may go over them digitally as well so they look all fancy and stuff.

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - So Gonna Draw JoJo Fanart One Day

Huge changes to May as I switch between about 6 different references and get some advice from a friend.
Spent most of the early morning doing this. So far I think I've spent about 4 hours on this drawing and I'm only halfway through.

More coolness!

MAY2.png

Thinking of adding more than just a Beautifly. Maybe a Venasaur at her feet too. I'd draw a Blaziken behind her but I already did one. I'm thinking of doing more with this than just finishing the line-art and block colouring. I'm thinking of adding something artistic to it.
I have a few ideas in mind, keep an eye out for the next update ;]

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - May has Taken over the Thread

Coming along nicely, Delta. =)

It would be nice to see a few Pokemon around her (which you are planning to do) and maybe also a nice background to tie everything in?

I'll be looking forward to the final product.

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - May has Taken over the Thread

Ooh, it looks nice. I have been gone for awhile, and all of the new stuff looks so good!

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - May has Taken over the Thread

Ice Arceus: Thanks! A background! Yes! Something artistic!

saurs'pokefan: Welcome back, and thanks a lot :]

WOW. I didn't expect to be drawing this much. I seriously need to get some work done. I'd like some critique on this where possible.

Program: SAI
Time: 4-5 hours

Most of that time was spent just completely redrawing May over and over again. I think I redrew her 4 times with 7 different references. On top of that I had a friend over Skype who was helping me out so I was determined to get this finished. That took around 2 hours and then another hour just colouring. An hour. For colouring. Anywho, the Beautifly didn't take as long to draw and Venasaur took like 3 minutes so I was pleased that I can find a way to quickly sketch something and then create some nice quick line-art for it.

Well it took over a year of posting in this thread but I finally finished something.

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - May has Taken over the Thread

I have a serious problem with Beautifly's eyes. :I

And Venusaur's leaves don't look right. They should not be pointed and spikey. Look again D:
Edit: why doesn't May have eyes? D:

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Remix the Prefix

Beautifly looks "off".

Venusaur is just not big enough, ( and yes, Venusaur otherwise would be the center of the picture ) and he just looks really weird.

Look in the center of May's chest. It is uncolored. o_O

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Remix the Prefix

I'm surprised no-one commented on the hideous background :p

Anyway. Yeah, I need to draw a lot of faces and go over proportions. I just thought Venasaur's spiky leaves were a style choice.
Here's a little sketch I made earlier.

I'm not completely against Gen VI like I was with Gen V. Pokemon is actually starting to do something different for once and if it works, I'm fine with it

I'll get to finishing Magmortar and such after my exam is over.

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Remix the Prefix

I see one or two new big threads popping up recently. I hope they stay active and more pop up in the future!

But for now!

RE: Delta's Magical Art Factory - Remix the Prefix

Hey, I'm just going to talk about the May since female anatomy is sort of my thing, but I really like it. I remember the last time I saw you draw a girl and compared to know there is a big improvement. I would just like to hint you along that improvement for the next thing that comes along. And the thing I'm going to hint at is: boobs.

These majestic things have caused many artists to fret, because it's hard to tell when boobs will be perky and when they won't. Unfortunately, it seems like in the may pic they are especially perky, even though gravity in a real situation would make sure they weren't. So, just every time you're drawing boobs, keep in mind that gravity effects them too, just for future reference.
