Delta's Untamed Legends - Request me a Gym Leader

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Nice cards Delta!

I did notice that Dratini's attack is too low down, needs to move up a bit, be more centered between the height/width box and the bottom divider line :)

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner aschefield, but thanks a lot! I'll get the Mew and Dratini fixed for next time I post. I also forgot the set symbol for Dragonaire which I will also fix, along with any others I may have forgotten.

To start Johto off I made a Togepi, which I still need to find some good artwork for and a Skarmory which I need help with wording on. I haven't yet put in the accents because of that. Ack, and I forgot about the resistance (although that kind of works) so I'll get to that too.

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

I'm not really sure how to word that power. The closest thing I can think of is "Prevent all effects of attacks, excluding damage, done to Skarmory by your opponent's Pokémon." However, that doesn't mention anything about Trainer card effects or coin flips...

Flash Slash should read something like "If the Defending Pokémon is Knocked Out by this attack, shuffle your remaining Prize Cards into your deck. Replace them with the top 3 cards of your deck." It might be a little overpowered this way, though (you could knock out half the game with a single attack). Maybe the effect should be "If the Defending Pokémon is Knocked Out by this attack, count your remaining Prize Cards and shuffle them into your deck. Replace them with that many cards from the top of your deck."

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

If it could be made shorter, I think visually that'd help, seems slightly squashed atm :)

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

All fixes have been made apart from Dragonair and Zubat. Mew has been altered slightly. Skarmory altered so that it isn't so OP.
HP is now 60.
Power doesn't include coins and trainers.
Flash Slash damage reduced and Prize Cards increased.
Thanks guys :]

Debuting Johto!

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Love them, Houndoom the most! I think I spotted a minor error in Interlock tough: It seems that the spacing between lines 1 and 2 is different from the one between 2 and 3...

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Also, the second Skarmory seems to have double spaces in the dex entry (light, allowing"). I really like the artwork for both of them! Great job.

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Much better job on Skarmory. :)

I see a few problems on Houndoom, though:

- At the top of the card, you typed "Put Houndour on the Basic Pokémon" (Houndour should be Houndoom).

- As DN pointed out, there is an issue with the spacing in the Pokémon Power effect. This isn't the first time this has happened and, as you should be aware, this is due once again to the accented e. Remember to select all the effect text and make sure everything is the same font and size.

- The Pokémon Power should read "Once during your turn (before your attack), you may put 1 damage counter on each Defending Pokémon. If you do, put 1 damage counter on Houndoom if it is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed." The "after applying Weakness and Resistance" bit isn't needed when the term "damage counters" is used. You only use that when you refer to an amount of damage (like 10) and would be italicized and in parentheses. I think there was an Unown card that did this, but it was an error.

- The attack should read "If the Defending Pokémon is Burned, this attack does 40 damage plus 40 more damage."

I assume that you're including newer mechanics into these cards, as Double Battles and Burn status didn't exist in the classic sets.

EDIT: Also, I just noticed that Mew has "if" twice in its Power description.

Something else I noticed before that I hadn't pointed out is that the Copyright on all of your cards doesn't need to have spaces after the Copyright symbol.

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Haha, guys, trust me I'm not ignoring you on this. The accented 'e' has always been the same size and font. I've just found where I can change the spacing so it shouldn't happen again. Thanks for the corrections guys. I think the only one that hasn't been updated has been Zubat, due to my own laziness. Still missed the Set Symbol on a lot of them too. The text guide I uses has the space.

So here's another dump. I'm positive the wording on the Flaafy is wrong :]
Next update I'll be finishing the Kanto list.

Yes, I know I haven't cleared up the Larvitar.

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

The text boxes for Lavitar's attacks can be expanded some to the right, since they don't do any damage. Also, Quilava's set number is missing the slash. Other than that, there's nothing that I can see right off that needs fixing. You're getting better. Good job. :)

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Thanks man, it's appreciated. I'll get to the changes by next update.

I lied.

Magneton_zps9630ecb7.png

I'm sure the wording is off, as usual, Suicune power italics and setttt symbolllll

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Suicune looks pretty good, other than what you pointed out, plus it needs a coma after to to-be-italicized text and the effect of Divine Wind should be something like "If any Pokémon on your opponent's Bench have any damage damage counters on them, move all of them to the Defending Pokémon."

Magneton looks about spot-on, though there needs to be a period after the attack's effect.

Keep it up!

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Sorry about the lack of updates. I can actually get to work on stuff now. Thanks Neko for the advice.

I'm just gonna post this simply because I haven't done anything new for 2 weeks. Hopefully business as usual soon.

I swear I don't look at the original cards when making these.

Set Symbol...*sigh*

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Very nice card! But, should it be worded, "If Typhlosion is knocked out during your opponent's next turn, he or she may not draw a prize card. You must discard all energy cards attached to Typhlosion in order to use this attack."?

And where did you get the file for the weakness, resistance and attack cost energies?

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

No problem! Sorry I haven't responded in so long.

Rally said:
"Discard all Energy cards attached to Typhlosion in order to use this attack. If Typhlosion is Knocked Out during your opponent's next turn, he or she can't take a Prize card."

Fixed.

RE: Delta's Untamed Legends - Setting the Base

Rally: I don't actually use a sheet for the W/R/R, I just resize the energy symbols. Yes, yes very naughty of me.

Neko: Thanks for the fix!

Big update coming soon but to prevent this from hitting the dark and gloomy second page I thought I'd drop in the Hoenn list early.
I'd also like to say that you can request a gym leader and their Pokemon to finish off this set. Different cards I know but I really would like to make these. You can use any gym leader from the first two generations, as I want to keep their portrait in the old Sugimori style, but you can use any Pokemon you want as long as it hasn't been used in the set already.

Edit: To make this post less boring, take a look at my CaC entry this month!

I think "every" in Slowking's Pokémon Power should be "each." Also, "one" needs to be "1."

How about Bugsy's Dunsparce? I know it's not actually a Bug- (Grass) type, but it's partially based on a bug (bee) and the anime refers to it as a bug.
