BW/BW2 Denchura as Ariados' Evolution

Oh definitly, they have an extremely similar body structure however different colorations.
In the case of the ariados line, that only makes it more convincing.
Green>Red>Yellow
Sounds allright to me.

Look we can make a safe bet that Denchura will be part electric type due to its name, and Ariados's pokedex entries make no reference towards electric things so it's probably not going to be a relation.
...
How many pokemon have had pokedex entries that TOLD us what they would evolve into? I believe Onyx might have had one about becoming much harder, and even then it mentioned crystals.

When an Ariados evolves into a Denchura why does it automatically gain electrical powers? I'm not saying it's impossible it's just random

Remember Ariados is the 'early-region' Bug of Johto. These 'early-region' Pokemon have never gotten an evolution in an other generation before.

People it's the 5th generation of Pokemon here anything could happen even a pokemon with 4 evolutions. I vote for Denchura being Ariados's evolution.

Also someone should talk to WaterPokemonMaster about this he is in Japan.

I can't see it being related to any of the Spinarak family. It seems to techno and steely, maybe electric-steel? It doesn't have to be a bug type just because it looks like one.

I rather believe it is an evolution; look at the colour difference between Spinarak and Ariados, then into yellow; which fits very well. My next point is the abdomen, notice it has some sort of purple marking, which could easily be a face. Similarly it has the two sets of legs like ariados, plus the extra set on top of it. Yet another thing is the general shape of the legs if you remove the fur, which makes it look identical to Ariados' legs.

My main point is, if you're going to make another spider pokemon, why make it so similar to ariados but not an evolution? It doesn't have eight legs like normal spiders, just like ariados. It has the two things on its back, just like ariados. It has some sort of symbol on its back, just like ariados. Thusly I can really see this as some sort of evolution; possibly thunderstone?

A final note against my previous points is that we don't have the sugimori; thus we cannot tell its actual appearance, which only time will reveal to us.

I didn't initially relate it to Ariados, but now that it's been pointed out how similar their body shape, etc is....I'm not sure. I think it'd be strange for GameFreak to go and change Gen II's (well, any generation's) staple "early-game-bugs". It's like adding to the Caterpie/Weedle family. But still, traditions can and have been broken.

Dream on...
1st, weak early game pokémon never get new evolutions... 2nd, like someone said, just because both are spiders, doesn't mean they're in the same evolution family... by that logic, Toxicroak could have been a Poliwhirl evolution... or Purugly, a Meowth's or Skitty's evo... and there are more examples...

Have you just totally ignored my post? I feel rather ashamed. And plenty of pokemon can easily get evolutions, game freak breaks from style plenty of times.

You guys REALLY need to chill with all these evolution speculations. Leave the previous generation Pokemon alone. Chances are, all of the 5th generation Pokemon that have been revealed so far are of their own species. NO past generation evolution or pre-evolution. Heck, this tarantula Pokemon doesn't even have the same dots or body shape as Spinarak or Ariados.
It simply being a tarantula doesn't mean it's an evolution of Ariados. You don't see Rattata evolving into Pikachu, right? :/

Actually pikachu is classified as a mouse but based off of a pika. But yes leave the old pokemon alone! ariados doesn't need an evo in my opinion.

spider pokemon are dumb. I only even considered Ariados a cool pokemon once in the pokemon movie with latias and latios.... and actaully I think koga has an Ariados in one of the games... but thats not the point, its a dumb pokemon and if this new thing... Denchura, is its evolution no one should care, because they both will suck. rawr.. :p

your post is fail... So, it is an ariados evo just because spinarak changes the main color when evolves? It seems it is you who didn't read my post.

And old pokémon never evolve to new pokémon using items that already exist when the evo is made, like thunderstone...

I don't think Denchura is an evolution of Ariados. Although they have similar body structures, that does not mean it is an evolution. I could see it if Denchura was a bug/poison type like Ariados, but it is either a bug/electric or electric/poison. That is too drastic of a type change to me. I can see them being related and being in the same species, but they are two seperate pokemon.
