Yep, the Spiritomb of B/W for sure. Just as weird-looking and preferably just as rare. Wouldn't particularly like to see that thing popping up all over the desert. I must admit I didn't like it at first glance, but assuming it is Ghost/Ground I probably would have designed something similar given that type combo, and that is a pretty cool combo.
Why are you guys saying it will be in the dessert, personally i doubt it will be ground/ghost i think it will be ghost/ice.
Desukan is my favourite pokemon so far, I can just tell he's going to be awesome. I'm really curious to find out what his front looks like. I think the blue part on top is his head....I'm wondering if maybe the black shadow hands will wrap around his body like mummy wraps. (or toilet paper 
) I could see that happening.
I hope he appears fairly early because I want him on my team along with the green jelly pokemon.
No I think he meant that Ken Sugimori is making EVERYTHING a pokemon, a bit of an exaggeration though. I'm yet to see a shoe pokemon

Why not it is known that if there are ghosts near the room starts to get cold. It is expected that just because it is an egyptian themed pokemon it will be ground and or found in the desert i bet people probably thought gliscor was going to be a dark type because he is a blackish colour, so don't just judge.
I really wouldn't call the Shinx line anything like the Sphinx except for it's english name. They're clearly lions, not sphinxes.achernar said:

I have no clue what the Riolu is, but I doubt it's Anubis, even if it looks like it a little. Kinda. Not quite.
But Desukan, probably Ghost/Ground imo, is our first egyptian pokemon. Woot. Maybe it'll be found in caves in the desert.
Or, like suggested earlier, it'll pull a Sudowoodo and a Snorlax.

Dusclops does have a mummy-ish form but based on its pokedex entry it's something completely different. I wouldn't be surprised to see Duskulls cropping up around where Desukan can be found in BW.

Riolu's said the same thing, minus the boxer part. So he's the third egyptian pokemon.
Did anyone think of the factor of where people usually see a sarcoghagus? A museum! You might be able to get a item from the ruins and get him from a man from the museum! Or he could be already an exibit there and get him there during a event at night (In-game or otherwise)! As for type I vote Ghost/Rock, because a sarcoghagus is made of rock.
I think it'l be a rock/ghost quiet frankly and the sarcophagus is also my new favorite Isshu mon. Between it and Megurko, I think the dessert will be my favorite, also, I think lucario draws some physical design from Anubis but why IDK.
I think it could have decent attack, just not feeling the special attack. also, Imagine what this thing could set up with Curse (Which I am 95% sure it will have "The Mummies Curse" anyone?) and Sucker punch (which I think it will have since it seems dark and would be POWERFUL if it is a dark instead of a ghost) or stab EQ/SE depending on its second type
, dusknoir can do damage with "ghost arms" and so can gengar, also, I see physical wall, yes, but maybe a curse booster like Cursepert.- Status
