Lol, you try making over 600 pokemon and let's see how many unique names and drawing/design you come up with. Give them a break man.

Either way, pokemon is in a level where even the best games will have a hard time to keep up with pokemon after a decade.

P.S. You should be happy that the creater of pokemon is putting extra effort on designing the pokemons. I mean mew was cute for a legendary, even Mewtwo was kind of cute looking, but get real, pokemon needs some badASS looking LEGENDS now ... try to be hip man XD

Personally, I think they should just stick to their little trading cards, and shows.
Trying to copy off of a Pokemon game? Smh... I just wish Pokemon could be as good as it was back when it first started.
The anime was AWESOME, and was actually funny. Now it's just corny and childish. u_u
But to go back on subject, Pokemon has always been better than Digimon to me. Digimon just seems SO much like a copy of Pokemon. >.>

Digimon came first. -_-

I just think that this makes the new Pokémon look more unique. I honestly don't care what they look like.
 
Technically, Digimon came out first. Of course, not in the same way some of you are thinking.

Pokemon and Digimon, while having similar elements, are quite different if you ask me. Sure, both evolve, but Digimon DEvolve too - not to mention can combine with others and other crazy stuff they've added over the years.

They're evolution designs are so completely different too. There are much more humanoid Digimon final stages in ways Pokemon hardly brush at. Trainers in Pokemon have and use various partners and the whole style of the game is more like a complex game of chess, while Digimon is clearly completely different.

Digimon really had a much better anime run then Pokemon, or at least for the first few seasons.

Anyways, there are MUCH MUCH more differences between the two which would take too long to list, but I think it's pretty obvious that the two are nothing alike aside from having critters in them that change forms.

Actually, The first Pokemon games, Red and Green, came out in Japan in 1996. The first sign of Digimon didnt come until 1997.
But still, Digimon is petty good. I think the Digimon anime is a thousand times better than the Pokemon anime. The Pokemon games are a thousand times better than the Digimon games but the trading cards both are pretty much the same things...
But then again that's my opinion.:)
 
Well yeah, the first sight of Reshi and Zek gave me the impression of Digimon (well... actually, :p Reshi gave me the impression of chicken lugia while Zek screamed "Digivolve from Greymon") But after a while, they seem like real pokemon. The way I picture TRUE pokemon with the symbol or seal of authenticity is picturing thm soley with the original logo and seeing if it fits :p

But mainly, I PRAY that Pokemon doesn't pull a Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh or even a Beyblade and change EVERYTHING to make it fail... I hated how People merged with Statues to make digimon, the motorcycle people in yu-gi-oh and the random band-aid guy and fat dude from beyblade. All in all, I REALLY hope the anime AND games stay good and awesome.

The Anime already is going downhill -_-
 
With help from Shigeru Miyamoto, the series began development, with the concepts of the original games, Pokémon Red and Green, going into production between 1990 and 1995. At last, in early 1996, the first games in the series were released, and Tajiri's dream had become reality.

Naaaaw. Digimon has utterly complex designs with an obsessive need for a bunch of colors. Reshirm and Zekrom? Hardly even close.

Yes because Ninetails, Beedrill, and Golem are so original. Seriously I don't mind people not liking a Pokemon because there are some I'm not fond of, but saying things like they look like Digimon or they're unoriginal is complete BS. Tell me what is a Pokemon? Everyone who says that they look like Digimon has they though that is a Pokemon design is not to their liking Pokemon is become bad because apparently every Pokemon has to meet their standards. A Pokemon is a creature or object from real life edited and changed. That's it. That's all the requirements of a Digimon. So for those of you who don't like the new Pokemon that's fine but saying they look like Digimon or saying that they're unoriginal is not a valid point for not liking them.

By the way Typhlosionwolf this not directly towards you only but to others as well.

Golem's original... In his own special way...

I still don't think Pokemon is Digimon. Even Resh. and Zek. looked very Pokemon to me.
 
To me, when new Pokemon come out they look like...something. After a while they look like Pokemon and nothing else. Digimon look like compeetly different!! I think some of you people need glasses, no offense.
 
To add to the discussion, I still remember how we all complained about Gen IV's Pokémon designs. And yet, it all disappeared.

Point being, just get used to it. It's not Digimon whatsoever.

I rather enjoy the movies. They kinda did good when Cyrus summons dialga and palkia, and monferno evolveing into infernape was one of ash's best pokemon... It's just some moments when I don't get it, like pikachu is supposed to be lv 100 by now but pikachu faints to pokemon his new ones beat? It makes no sense, and in the first movie ash dies but is revived by pokemon crying, and when lucario died in the mystery of mew I was like wtheck? You were my favorite pokemon and you died because you used aura which your supposed to be a master at using?
 
I don't see the resemblance to digimon, but the legendary ones have reminded me of Godzilla monsters.

And zekrom and reshiram look like robots XD!!!
but only like 20 pokemon have come out? Theres like over 100 to collect in the first part of the game uve only seen 20 xDDDD
