The resemblance is pretty apparent, mostly the nose (Bert says hi).
Okay, when GenIV came out about 2-3 years ago, we were all probably like "Omigosh, what sort of name is Hippowdon, how will i ever remember all these names!!", right? Well now, most people probably know them all off by heart. Look, they are just names and we will get used to them, like we did for the past years. However, in game, it is kind of worse. The big landscape scenes (For example bridges and 3D stuff), are just bleh. Whats the point, there is nothing on them.
There's no need to provide links to what the Pokemon you mean as most of us are aware of what they are.
There are only two fighting types that resemble Bert and Ernie, but this is a coincidence. Also, I don't see the problem with this. So what if two Pokemon happen to look like they're from Sesame Street? What about other humanoid Pokemon such as Jynx? I fail to see any issue.
Your tone makes it seem like it actually matters, but it doesn't. I find Scraggy's behavior to be quite cute and your supposed "dislikes" seem to be just unnecessary nitpicks of specific Pokemon designs. In my opinion.
If, or rather- most likely-, there are going to be 3DS enhanced versions of Black/White/Neutral then the bridges and other platform effects are there to show off the 3DS's capabilities and maybe even make the bridges pop out. Also, I find these additions to be interesting and provide a more interesting environment, and the bridges are relaxing. Hopefully no one is under the illusion that the bridges actually take you to the cities by themselves instead of you pressing the d-pad.
Well, to be totally honest, Roobushin's evolution family reminds me of Oscar, the Woobat family just look like generic Muppets, and Victini reminds me of Elmo. There are loads of others, too.
Well, I can't believe I forgot to mention this: I am seriously annoyed that there are no ties to previous regions. We REALLY needed some new evolutions and pre-evolutions, and did we get any? No. Alomamola REALLY should have been a Luvdisc evo...

It was pretty bad that way but I think there is a reason. Unova is said to be very far from the regions, kind of like Japan to North America symbolized. Therefore, the pokemon from the region are both unrelated to the previous regions, but sometimes overlap ideas (Woobat, etc).

It has been said countless times that Unova is a parallel to Kanto in a sense that this is a reboot of the series- where Woobat=Zubat, Conkeldurr=Machamp, Unfezant=Pidgeot and others. Having pre-evolutions or evolutions of past Pokemon doesn't help this idea and instead encourages people to try out the new Pokemon. There is no need to have ties to other regions, aren't Cynthia, Caitlin, and Looker enough?
