Do your friends know you play Pokemon?

A lot of people know I play Pokemon...heck, when HGSS came, nearly my whole entire school had PokeWalkers everywhere, even the populars!

(Too bad not a lot of them play TCG...)

When HG/SS came out, only the Grade 11's and 12's had them on.

It was our game, of our Generation. The 9's and 10's wouldn't remember the original, thus couldn't appreciate the remakes.

March - June 2010, was the nerdiest time for our school ever...
Seniors walking down the hall;
"DUDE, I CAUGHT A FREAKIN' SHINY DRATINI."
"AW NO WAY!"

Class we walked by;
"LUL NERDS."
Us, "FRESHIES."
Pwnt~

Most people I know know I play Pokemon, but it's not a good thing. I mean, I have a good amount of friends, but I'm in middle school and a lot of people are total jerks. Whenever this one kid walks past my laptop at school and I'm on PokeBeach, he'll say "Pokemon" and walk away. It's annoying. I just try to not let it bother me though.

Yea at my school only like 5-7 people play pokemon, only my best friends know but if someone asked me I wouldn't deny, but I wouldn't go around reminding the whole middle school.

My friends could care less and this girl (that I liked at the time) found out, but turns out she still plays the games. XD
Things work out sometimes. Anyone else would laugh. And nice that you got your school to watch you play Pokemon! I want that to happen!

I wish more girls played Pokemon. But right away they become stereotypical and classify it as stupid and for guys :(

I am a senior in high school and was kinda forced into the TCG by a few of the guys I played with on the baseball team one day and it just kinda exploded from there for me. I find it to be a rather strategic and intense game that is extremely fun. Though, they take it a lot less serious than I do and are still surprised when I break out the Luxchomp deck on them =D. (I just started playing about a month ago) Granted it may be different for me because most of the "cool" kids in the school are addicted to the games.

Most of my friends play Pokemon too.

But either way it doesn't matter, I could care less if someone thought lowly of me for liking it. Sure I've been made fun of, but really, if you're gonna like something, like it and don't be afraid to hide it because of who you truly are, if others think less of you for liking it, then they themselves are childish.

Lol as if guys don't wish that? xD

Hahahah true thatt. I have 2 good friends that are girls that play, but they aren't as into it as I am, I think. At Nationals, I was the only girl that came from my area in Seniors. I was quiet a lot, but I talk soo much during battles anyways.

My best friend knows but unfortunately told someone who also told a lot of people. >__> That's not fun considering people at my high school are really no better than people at middle school and did make fun of me. Oh well. Thankfully, that's died down a little bit.

dmaster out.

People are making fun of THE dmaster? Not cool, man, not cool.

Funny story:

It was a dark and gloomy year in 2001, me and my friends were all in 6th grade and loving pokemon. Then, everyone 'quit' and I was the only one who liked pokemon. I would hear people say "POKEMON IS CHILDISH AND STUPID!" Even my best friend Jose was saying this. So I had to blend in and stay alive. Well, one day I went over to Jose's house. We were just chilling when I notice something poking behind the TV... A copy of Pokemon Gold :eek:

I grab it and ask him if he still plays Pokemon. He tells me "Yes and don't tell anyone!" I look at him and say "No way... so do I" So we kept our secret and played Pokemon forever. [The sad thing is he moved 5 years ago :( ]

Don't be ashamed of who you are. Tell your friends. If they make fun of you then they never were your friends to begin with.

I'm not ashamed of playing Pokemon, its just that my school is really small and everyone knows everyone. I wanted to run for student council president this year, and NJHS president, and Spanish Club president lol, so my secret getting out could hurt my campaign.

Why would it? There are some NERDS who are up 24/7 playing MW2 it's just as bad as pokemon.

Most of my friends knew that i played Pokemon in elementary. now that i'm in middle skool i only tell like 2-3 people skool is SOOO long

But only cool people play MW2.... or so they think anyway. I personally don't get what the difference is between someone who constantly plays MW2 or Halo and the person that is constantly playing WoW or Pokemon or why one is considered a nerd or geek and the other is considered a cool kid that games.
