I realize I didn't say so specifically, but just in case:

Nobody waiting in the clearing heard anything unusual from the forest.

@Keeper of Night Mitsh uses his flame to carefully inspect the statues, and determine their shapes and any odd markings.
Litwick moves to take a look at the sculpted items. Like the others, he can't make out what they are supposed to be, due to wear over the time they must have been down here. No symbols or markings can be found on them.

I can do it. I-I just need to believe in myself.
@Keeper of Night I use Disarming Voice again.
Swablu uses Disarming Voice!
The Drifloon is defeated!
Swablu gains 1 level!
+1 Atk
+1 Spe
+1% TBA

Drifloon is defeated! Swablu, hurt, tries to figure out the best way back to the clearing. Does she continue heading back? Or move forward again?

So I'm thinking that maybe I should use Acrobatics to climb a tree and check out our surroundings as best as I can.@Keeper of Night
i float to the treetops @Keeper of Night , letting out a soft light for any stragglers to see.
Chimchar and Cutiefly climb a nearby tree. As they reach the top, they're left more confused than ever. On every side is nothing but trees. They can't even make out the sun from here, or where the clearing should have been. A thick fog surrounds the edges of their vision.

@Keeper of Night
I use a flamethrower to light up the right bend
Bagon launches a flame down the sloping path. It shows off several stalactites hanging from the ceiling, but nothing else.
The banging sound seems to be coming from that direction.

@Keeper of Night I'll head into the forest
Rowlett, thinking he must have heard Swablu's battle, runs into the forest in front of him.
The area darkens quickly, and soon he can't make out which direction he had come from.
Should he attempt to head back?

@Keeper of Night This path is too dark, even with the occasional flamethrower burst, so I am heading back to the main group by the statues until Litwick is ready to light the way.
Duskull heads back to the rest of the group, leaving the dark end of the cave.

@Keeper of Night I'll follow the Duskull.
Klink floats back to the rest of the group underneath the hold in the ground.

@Keeper of Night I'd like to build up mud slowly using Mud Slap to form a staircase out of the pit.
Phanpy attempts again to build a staircase into the open hole above him. Try as he might, the mud continues to slide around, unable to take shape.

Try as I might @wonderful_whismur I just couldn't make your quote work for whatever reason. Ah well.
Noibat wanders down the sloping path, but stops before leaving line of sight of the others. The path is too dark to continue forward, even for a bat.

@Keeper of Night
I'll blow on the mud that was so rudely splashed onto me to cake it and let it fall off. Then, I'll walk to the statue that gave off the yellow glow.
Vulpix walks toward the statue that she had seen glow earlier. She nudges it, but nothing happens. The glow seems invisible now that Litwick is lighting the area. Is this the right statue?

Well, the statue that was glowing yellow, that's with the other statues, in the passage on the left?
The statues are along the base of the dead-end wall on your left.

@Keeper of Night I will accompany Vulpix further down the passage (while being careful not to get any more mud on her), and try to count the claw marks using all the counting abilities that a Spoink possesses.
Spoink follows behind Vulpix as she inspects the statue, and looks up. In Litwick's light she counts three large claw marks across the wall in front of them.

The sun is setting.

I did it! I did it! Take that you Driftloon!
@Keeper of Night I'll put my 1% into Speed, and fly back towards the clearing by flying, so no grounded Pokemon can reach me.

I think we should go back the way we came. But as a precaution, I'm going to use Acrobatics to hop from tree to tree. @Keeper of Night

I have no intention of remaining down here. Whoever dropped this compass should take the blame.

@Keeper of Night, I'd like to continue using Mud Slap until the pile created allows me to jump out of the pit. If this includes patching up the hole, then let the hole be patched up. Those remaining in the pit should be able to break the hole down.

Why would you leave the hole? We still need to investigate the noise and the statues and need all the help we can get if things go south

Caves are inevitably very linear. I'm an explorer, and I want to gather some buds up on the surface and truly go on an adventure.

Yeah but on the surface all you'll find is a forest that keeps sending you back here here we have the statues we have the banging noise what more of an adventure do you want! We have mystery in the hole we have suspense in the hole we have potential action in the hole and most of all we have answers in the hole and I want to know what in Arceus' name Brought us here and why and I'm sure you do too
If only we had a torch

Slowpoke wakes up, and notices the stick he is holding has dried completely. His tail also feels weird. What's this red flickering stuff covering it? Probably not a big deal.

[Slowpoke has been standing completely still for a long time. The fire has now spread from his tail up throughout his entire torso]

Hmm, this seems like a problem. I should probably put this out.

[Slowpoke uses Water Pulse on himself, but neglecting his own impressive Psychic ability, the internal-water-pulsing accidentally causes a miniture gravitational singularity within himself. Slowpoke has now been sucked into another plane of existance inside of himself, leaving no evidence that he ever frolicked within this damp landscape. He is now doomed to fall through the infinite dimensions of the Omniverse for all eternity. His mind, however is simply too slow to comprehend his fate. To him, it's just one of those days.]

[OOC: @Keeper of Night On a serious note, I'm afraid I'm going to drop out of this campaign. I'll be away from home both this weekend, and then for another two weeks starting the middle of next week (I'll be on Holiday). And I'll admit that I haven't quite been engrosed in this premise enough to keep an eye on the thread and continually update my actions along with the story. Sorry everyone :(.]

I am just going to say to everyone, we have been really lucky that Keeper hasn't punished us for breaking the first and most important Rule of D&D (other than rule 0) - Don't Split the Party
I don't know why you people want to go out on a scouting mission when we haven't even picked up on the fact that scouting may be completely unnecessary as there has been no discussion of a stealth or perception mechanic.

@Keeper of Night I would like to join the main party down the hole

@Keeper of Night I will float alongside Chimchar wherever we may go for the next few actions (i.e. I may not be around much over the weekend)

swablu & rowlet, can y'all float up to the treetops and find us? we could all head back together.
