We have a torch it's in the clearing slowpoke has it or litwick can come but I swear if neither of those work I will pick up litwick and use them as a flashlight in the least hostile way possible

Slowpoke seems to have phased out of existence, though.
If the torch is still there he didn't die in vain and will exist as a martyr to us and as a bringer of light

Nnn- We're down here in the hole and getting mud baths. There seems to be some disco lights flashing over there, Vulpix and Litwick were having fun with them a minute ago. Someone's playing music down the passage, so we were planning on going over there to listen!

@Keeper of Night Mitsh walks towards the edge of the sloping path to provide a bit more light, while waiting for the others to catch up.

Back on the farm, when I was a little Spoinklet, I had so many brothers and sisters. We were so happy! We'd bounce around all day and eat all sorts of delicious fruits and vegetables.
But bad things were going on at the farm! Now there's only Spoink.
If there's one thing Spoink learned from that... it's the Spoinks need to stick together and not get lost by themselves in dark places filled with claw marks.
@Keeper of Night : I'll keep carrying the little mysterious statue I'd picked up earlier and go heading down the path with the rest of the pokemon.
I don't want to get lost down here after all. . . who knows what kinds of awful things down here like to eat Spoinks?

Mushrooooooooms! There have to be mushrooms somewhere around here... it's dark and wet and cramped and the air smells like the inside of a mushroom (that is growing in a pit of poison gas). I just hope that if there are, they're the kind that Spoinks can eat, not the kind that eat Spoinks. You can never know for sure in places like this.

I have barely got anything to eat at ALL now though! *sob* No cupcakes, no truffles, even this thing I thought might be a truffle in the dark turned out to squeak and get very mad at me and to be a pokemon (sorry) (and also didn't taste very good). I don't know what I'm supposed to DO!

Well... in unrelated news it turns out these statues aren't edible. Or at least I haven't figured out the right way to cook them.

Little update on everyone's positions:
Cave: professorlight, bbninjas, Vracken, simsands, DoS, NP, @rainyman123 , Jabberwock, Vom, Blakers, @TheSceptileMaster , TE, WW, Jade, Epist, @quakingpunch73, @Little Cherrim, Yog, Marchy, Celever
Clearing: @Professor Palutena, @PikaMasterJesi, @mirdo, @TheAnticipationEevee (though technically still sitting in the pit above the cave)
I've tagged all the less-active players. Should the majority of you progress the game past your current area, those remaining behind will be considered modkilled. Or eaten by monsters. Use your imagination. (Though I won't do that without seeing if those currently inactive still wish to try and keep up. I'd suggest poking them.)
Also:
Upon reaching the others, Swablu, Chimchar, and Cutiefly have been fully healed by their clerics! How nice of those clerics.
However, he trips, taking 2 damage! Honedge is knocked out!
...Klink snaps out of it. What a strange vision he just had. He joins the others just before the slope.
The group of Pokemon stare down the dark path ahead of them. In the faint light given off by their friends, they can see the stalactites hanging from the ceiling and stalagmites forming from the ground, obscuring their view of the cave surfaces. Though the cave walls seem to widen, the rock formations form the cave into a narrow path.
The group are at an impasse. Do they continue forward? They aren't all here... There may still be some left in the clearing, or in the main part of the cave. Somebody should let them know where they're heading!
Back in the clearing, the sun has just set over the horizon.
The banging sound coming from further down the path seems to have stopped.

Also:

Chimchar and Cutiefly fall back down into the pit, seeing the open cave beneath them, and follow the others grouping up at the right end of the cave.
Vulpix picks up the glowing statue. Somehow. And follows the others toward the end of the cave.
Eevee reaches the far end of the cave with Goomy, grouping with the others.
Cutiefly, gathered with the others, begins to emit a soft light. It isn't enough to see far, but it helps the other's eyes adjust to the ahead pitch black.
Bagon, too, reaches the far end of the cave, just before the slope.
Litwick hobbles along, leaving the dead-end and groups with the others just before the slope.
Klink follows Litwick at a cautious distance, angling himself to prevent adverse reflections of the flame.
However, he trips, taking 2 damage! Honedge is knocked out!
